Sorry man, but why shouldn't it fit? We're talking about hardcore punk, and if you've been to a punk concert, you definitely saw that it's not the same as a concert by U2 or David Sylvian. I don't know if you've ever jumped into the pit and caught some kicks, but that was punk, and it fit. People went for that too. It was a struggle between musicians and the audience. I remember, after the golden age of punk had passed for quite some time, at a Gun Club concert with Patricia Morrison, the crowd in front of the stage insisted (what can you do, we're in Italy... things arrive late) on spitting and targeting that horse of Morrison with lit cigarettes. She kicked an amplifier box into the front rows that would have ruined someone if it hit. And what do we want to do, sanctify the Clash because they endured the spit because the audience pays and is always right, or call Rollins and Morrison fascists for reacting?

But if you criticize "this Rollins" without even having an idea of what you’re talking about, you're just annoying without being an anti-metal fake, kid :)

Of course this new purchase sexmachine must really be cool; in just a couple of days it’s already shot out more nonsense than Poletti in three years. The gem is that the metalheads stink and don’t wash. Maybe I was an adolescent back in '88 when I saw Rollins for the first time. Regarding azzo, personally you haven’t shattered any idols; the idol remains shattered by the fact that he can’t save me, and I deserve it since it’s ridiculous to think that a guy like that could save you. I don’t judge or justify Rollins; I reiterate that I respect his entire journey, both human and musical, which I’ve followed since the days of Black Flag. On Saturday I listened to the album and recalling the concerts, that expression of an explosive manifestation of the force of nature that you read in the review came to mind. Nature, if we free it from our preconceptions, can be violent in its manifestations. Rollins was violent in that case. Fascism has nothing to do with it. Stop.

Yes, but if I come to do a concert with the Rollins Band and some little jerk outside the venue yells at me, “Hey buddy, where are the Black Flag?” I wouldn’t have told him to “fuck you” like Rollins did, but I would’ve kicked his ass. Apparently, I’m ruder than he is :-)

evidently they are different parameters, you can still be polite with the assholes who provoke you, I stopped doing that a while ago, Rollins probably never was. Maybe in life he’s been less lucky than the two of us in seeing ugly things. Far be it from me to count the money of the RHCP, I don’t think I would end up with whatever I have left to live :)

But I give my faith and trust to just a few people who are close to me, let alone to Henry Rollins. To him goes my respect, something that isn’t given to those who impale sheep on stage, because ever since I followed him, and I'm talking about the Black Flag days, he's always seemed like a genuine person, with all his qualities but also his flaws; but I repeat, a real person, who I’ve seen tell a kid to go fuck himself for asking about the Black Flag when he was supposed to be playing with the Rollins Band, which in '88 at the social center, his band was paid 300,000 lira and he kept 20,000 for himself. As for the other sheep rapists, I wouldn't know; I wasn’t there, just as Rollins has never been to Central America and therefore can't write protest songs about the situation in Central America...

No, captain, you can't just say that; you missed the moment. "He will deny us" is a negative connotation of that hero, whom absurdly we have elected as our savior for his integrity that we do not recognize in ourselves but at the moment when we really need him… as Ian Anderson says in Thick as a Brick? "Where the hell was Bigles when you needed him last Saturday?"

@donjunio I didn't go because I still have to decide which one I like more :D And for Rollins, it's not love but respect.

Captain, can you confirm that it’s true you’re not very intuitive? I wonder why I thought you were sharper :) You don’t seem to consider, I don’t know if on purpose, the conclusion which is: he will deny it to us.
And then take a look at the little story on the personal page of this nick, which if it’s called 1XLACOERENZA, there must be a reason, right? ;)
