...this is I "Know there is love" :)

It's just nonsense reasoning; I like the Clash more musically, of course... but this piece really meant a lot to me, it's stunning in how it's MUSICALITY constructed, not in a technical sense, just to be clear, otherwise, pretazzo will come and scold us :))))

Well, geeeno, then re-read the attached text that I put there on purpose because if you talk about believing in revolutions, I think either you haven’t read it or you didn’t understand anything. I find that text more credible now that I've passed my thirties than when I was a teenager, is that serious?

@geeno, sometimes I get the feeling that you've NEVER been young :) Anyway, alessioiride is referring to a very specific person, I believe the insult is directed at him :)))

@vortex you are informed about the Falklands War that broke out in mid-1982 but a little less about the Wapping center which closed towards the end of 1982, so they had plenty of time to talk about that war, maybe too much :)

I'm sorry, but it's you who honestly can't comprehend and has been going around in circles for forty-eight hours. I told you from the VERY first moment that I completely understand your discomfort at seeing that scene. It would have been mine too, but with your testimony, which you did well to report, I believe you haven't outraged any of those who know Rollins (in fact, Alessio mocks and says that the image has only strengthened it for him), but maybe some inexperienced kid who, behind a tough facade, is ready to be a moralist. After all, in the review, there is a link that shows how Rollins "interacts" with the audience, and it was included to show what kind of person "this Rollins" is. You can't grasp how such a big guy can hit someone who comes up on stage; I've already told you that Rollins is a violent person, and he has always demonstrated that through his music and lyrics. He doesn't want to come off as either libertarian, revolutionary, or honest, but he is not a hypocrite (in my opinion). He is Rollins, and I repeat once more, even though he is not my idol, we need more like Rollins.

I don’t care what you say, it doesn’t convince me, so I’ll reopen the case. I don’t think Rollins makes his way through a crowd and goes to hit someone who has stepped back a bit to keep away from the "troubles." You’ve talked about a person (male or female, strong or weak, I don’t care) who got on Rollins' stage and (knowing what hardcore is in the USA) is behaving like someone who voluntarily steps into a lion's cage, not exactly hanging back. What bothers me the most is that here come some kids who read that Rollins kicked a girl in the ass, they connect to YouTube and see this muscle-bound mass covered in tattoos, wearing only a black brief, thrashing around like crazy on stage, and automatically, without knowing a damn thing about him, they say he’s an uncouth animal who can't even count to ten. Read the Wikipedia page dedicated to him and tell me if any other beloved benefactor of humanity like Bono Vox has a similar resume. He even gives you a gift by letting you download stuff from his archive at www.rollins-archive.com; he might be an asshole, but we need more like him :)

Reading the name of John Peel, who was behind the T.Rex operation, and especially the fact that a producer like Visconti brought Bolan and Took practically to his home to record them, makes me think of a similar operation that Peel carried out at that time with another duo consisting of a guitarist and a percussionist/drummer, the Tractor, who recorded their album in the bedroom of their friend John Brierely, who would later become a notable producer in the mid-'70s with Cargo Studios. The Tractor were more varied and harder than the effeminate Bolan, who would have an extraordinary career in glam, but their album remains for me an absolute powerhouse, it's a shame that it is not well-known.
