I have always appreciated both Family Guy, for the reasons you consider flaws and that for me are precisely the uniqueness of a series that has been competing with The Simpsons, which has been repeating itself for too long without anything new to say, and American Dad. However, The Cleveland Show already seems to me a clear sign of the arrival of a crisis in creativity, and even this movie from the trailer seems to confirm that. When I see it, I will know if that's the case.
