I might be exaggerating tonight, but I’m going for a double five. To you, for having brought this little unknown masterpiece to light (it would take a very long discussion to address the fact that black and white is now banned from our TV: any crap is acceptable as long as it's in color), and to the film, which is always considered a bit below Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, but when I saw it, it drove me just as crazy. CHARLOTTE SOMETIMES!

Great job, Lewis. I met Emidio too, and he's really a good guy.

Dello Sfascia, there's always something new to discover about him. But you, do you play as well? No, because in that case, I would challenge you on the island. I started again this year, and I'm in love with it all over again. It must have been twenty years since I last played, and I’m as happy as a child. Unfortunately, I don’t follow it on TV anymore, since it became the domain of Sky. I just caught the semi-final in Rome with Nadal, coming back from the beach, because it was on Italiauno. Anyway, cheers to the arrival of tennis on DeB, and for that 5, even though I prefer Gianni Clerici's reports, I hope you won’t hold it against me (I imagine you also prefer Bertoncelli over my reviews, after all).

I, on the other hand, do. As in, I really like this too. However, the review is a little lacking, more of a proot than a zot. This Rituals definitely deserves a few more words; it's certainly among the top five Italian indie albums of the '80s, and perhaps in the top ten of all indie music. Not to mention "My blues is you," which is an absolutely superb gem. Like, indeed, the previous 12. Just to say, on Discogs, they're referred to as a "Legendary Italian new-wave band"!

Let's leave logic at home. But you, Ashanti, had you ever heard or seen the Bastards before X-Factor? I really don't think so. So the reasoning doesn't hold at all. Comparing these three to Brondi, who is only 24, makes no sense whatsoever. Since you've watched X-Factor, have you noticed that these guys are rather ignorant when it comes to music, or not? No one attacks them for being on TV. The problem is something else. We have to put up with them just because they made it on TV. Otherwise, they would still be performing in bars with 50 spectators, just like they were doing six months ago.

Avoiding any comment on the TBSOD (who are mere experts, not high school students), I only propose this simple note, given that some people from Trento are around here. Until last year, the aforementioned played in the, very sad, circuit of local bars. Average audience: 50. Now that they’ve made it to TV, they draw five thousand people. Therefore, the problem isn't so much the TBSOD, nor the Trentino folks (if they had been from the Marche region, it would have been the same). It’s more about the audience. Who doesn’t give a damn about rock 'n' roll, but only about TV. You exist, and matter, only if you pass through there. They could play anything, even industrial, and the result would be the same. Quality is a totally secondary issue. And some of the comments highlighted above confirm it.

Well, among the faces in the audience you could see at the Monterey Pop Festival was that of Nico, who attended the Festival with Brian Jones, since neither the Velvet nor the Stones performed (I believe Nico left the Velvet shortly after).

@ Gustavo: yes, the press release I read states that Touch and Go will continue to distribute the old catalog. Only theirs. @ Giubbo, it's not that I'm against Farfisa on principle, it's just that here, as Psycho says, it's really a mess.
