Curzio Malaparte La Pelle

Beautiful page. Moreover, it doesn’t seem appropriate for you to start doing some revisionism as well. Genoa also liberated itself; the CNL handed over the German prisoners to the Allies in Rapallo, and when the insurrection began, they were almost a hundred kilometers away, in La Spezia.

@Brat 12, you are absolutely right, I will follow your advice and stop coming to Deb. P.s. Luckily, Franci understands Italian a bit better than you, so he fully grasped that I didn't insult him but simply expressed an opinion. P.p.s.: if you don't like the reviews being voted on, write to @debaser.it, you’ll see that the little people will listen to you and remove both the votes and the posts. Then maybe you can move to Ondarock.

Beautiful page, but I think I’ve already told you :-). About the album, I agree with 47, but it happens often: a Waits so perfect that he seems to parody himself. I therefore prefer him in the Island trilogy of the romantic, overflowing, and possessed operatics. Nevertheless, there’s such a tide of beautiful songs here that any American songwriter would kill their mother...

Dear Super and Boredom, as much as I might be scatterbrained, which I’ve never denied, it’s hard not to remember, if nothing else for how important the Huskers were for our late adolescence (who, I reiterate, were never part of the straight edge movement, it was just a synthesis). However, I remember the issue of the joints very well. Both because it echoed an old statement from Joe Strummer, obviously before firing Topper Headon, and because of the discovery of the reasons behind the Huskers' breakup. And here I even remember where, namely in an interview with Les Inrockuptibles, where Bob Mould stated that the reason for the split was that he and Norton had moved on, while Hart continued. This was confirmed by watching a concert in Bologna during the time of Intolerance, where our friend, let’s say, was not exactly in shape. Of course, this does nothing to diminish the value of the records, but just as it is now for Franci, you’ll allow that for the movement, back in those years, the Huskers represented something more than just another punk band.

Dear Franci, the point is exactly what popoloitaliano highlighted. Am I superficial because I don’t understand when someone opens their heart to others? I'm not Franci's little buddy, so he calls me and I listen when he opens his heart. I come here to read reviews and hope they talk about a record, and instead, for the most part, people are talking about Franci's business. Which, to me, is of no interest as a superficial person. So respect for the records means that first we talk about them, explain them, and then, much later, there are our emotions, our memories, our sensations. While here, it’s the opposite. P.S. preaching Straight Edge doesn’t mean being part of the movement. It means that, when we were 17, and the world seemed to change because of what the Huskers told us, in the sense of "We won’t even smoke a joint because we want to be aware of our political being," only to later discover they were doing drugs, allow me to say, it wasn’t a nice awakening.

P.S. And let's also put an end to this idolization of the Huskers as people, without ever mentioning that they were three heroin addicts preaching straight edge.

A review that's a bit too narcoleptic-teenagerish, dear Franci. Ultimately, a bit of a bore. About your pillow fantasies, sorry, but I couldn't care less. We could talk about the album, maybe just a Powerline, which you don’t even mention, and it's among the top five songs of the Huskers. Yes, a bit more respect for the albums, since you, with your Strat, don't write songs like that. I don't see all this difference from Zen Arcade. The breaking point for them, more than for others, will be the switch to a major label, and thus Candy Apple Grey. What's that humming in my head, was it something that someone said, it's connecting us to them, electric wires turned again.

My favorite piece by the Boards. For me, it’s also beach and ocean. Maybe at six in the evening, while we’re heading back and stop at the little bar nestled among the cliffs. There are just a few of us, happy to be there. And I'm almost more interested in the fish dinner than in the aperitifs.
