Brian Eno Ambient 4: On Land

A stunning review for an unparalleled album, one of Eno's greatest peaks. Congratulations.

5 dry to this record. One of the most beautiful things done by Eno and the U2. Good rece.

Exaggerated, Ale... write reviews on albums, not on single songs (at least, that's my advice). Then, if you had talked about, I don't know, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bad, Say, I could understand, but "Hold Me, etc. etc."... for heaven's sake, it's a nice song, but nothing more.
Samuele Bersani Manifesto Abusivo

I listened to it just once, and it seemed to me like a pretty typical work, but that doesn’t mean it's poorly written; on the contrary. For certain things, it's clever and ironic as always, and the songs are truly all beautiful, really. Musically, there are also some novelties compared to previous albums. Ragno is my favorite. It convinces me more than Aldiquà, both in terms of lyrics and music.

Thanks for the comments, I'm back on DeB after about a year with a review of Evans. It was written in one go, practically right after I bought this box set (by the way: 13 euros and 40 for a triple seems excellent to me!). I wanted to leave it like this, brief and (I hope) clear because my take is more of a suggestion, as always. Then, it must be the music that tells you everything. Also, I won't hide it, I find it much harder to talk extensively about records I unconditionally love. Anyway, it's highly recommended. Thanks to Contemplazione for the notes that somehow complement the review. Best live Piano Trio recordings ever? Yes, for me.

"of the 7", sorry. Anyway, they may not be the U2 of old, but I really enjoyed it a lot; maybe it was their proximity (and therefore I enjoyed the musical show more than the "one on stage"), but it was a night from...the good old days (u2istically speaking).

I saw them on the 8th... I was in the pit, 10 meters away from them! A tremendous emotion for me, who has been following them for years. Listening to the bootlegs, it seems to me that the concert on the 8th was better than the one on the 8th, the band really brought out that "fire" that has increasingly become rare. I shed some tears during Ultraviolet, I confess.
Coldplay Prospekt's March EP
Voto:
The EP in question is not bad at all; there are some good tracks (life in Technicolor II, Postcards from far away, the latter really beautiful), but you can tell these are leftover songs. It's a somewhat clever operation, nothing exhilarating. I would say none of these songs would find a place in Viva la Vida (except perhaps the aforementioned Postcards...). I like Coldplay, and I believe that after the (for me bad) album X&Y, they have bounced back very well with the latest record, full of very interesting ideas, as well as spectacular production. They don’t seem like a band for (and by) teenagers; they know how to write good stuff and are enjoyable to listen to. From the latest album, I particularly remember "Lost!", "Viva La Vida", "Yes", to name a few. I like them, and in my opinion, some of the criticisms directed at them are exaggerated. However, I am looking forward to their next album (which will still be produced by Eno; very good!)
