Brian Eno & J. Peter Schwalm Drawn From Life
Voto:
Thank you for the comments, mostly positive. Rereading the review now, I realize it could have been crafted a bit better, but I wrote it spontaneously; nonetheless, the points I wanted to emphasize have been highlighted and I hope I piqued your curiosity. I am very fascinated by the figure of Eno and I agree with those who say that not everything he has done is beautiful, quite the opposite. But this album (which is fairly recent) is definitely successful. It's a shame that it's hard to find here in Italy (I bought it in England). However, through other channels, it can be easily found; highly recommended! I am also very interested in Schwalm's solo works, but they are indeed really hard to come by.

And anyway Starbalzer, in this new "soft" version you're not credible. We know that inside you are unstrenuodifensoredellafedemetallic a. I still have a lot of fun reading your reviews, I would even give you a 5 for the entertainment. But then, out of respect for the Italian language, grammar, and form, and strongly hating this feigned enthusiasm that seems as real as a 4 Euro bill, I can't give you more than a 2. So let's say that with this one you've reached your maximum.

"There’s this" "there’s that" "there’s this other thing": there are too many things in this record... I rate the review, I don't know the work. However, the dialect closure gives you an extra half point.
Depeche Mode Exciter

Perhaps it's not a fully shared opinion. But I really like this album a lot and I believe it’s the best Depeche record. So relaxed, nocturnal; the sounds are all clean and calm (well done, Bell), in terms of production I think this album is unparalleled in the Mode's career. Dave is excellent as always, and so is Martin, his lyrics are beautiful as usual. I prefer the later DM to the 80s ones (pre-Violator) in many ways. Truly a beautiful album.
U2 18 Singles + DVD

Ah, and I add that hearing two songs in succession like With Or Without You and Vertigo (but if they really had to include it, why place it next to a song like WOWY?) makes it clear how deep they have fallen. And the new album will be released this spring. I'm scared.

A tempting commercial operation like eating a hot soup on an August day. It breaks my heart to see U2 reduced to this. After 1997, retirement was in order (except for the soundtrack of "The Million Dollar Hotel"). The last album is the most obscene thing one could expect from a band like them. Even the tour wasn’t that great of a show. I was there in Milan, the first time I saw U2, but looking back now after years, it wasn’t all that amazing. I believe the problem is Bono: it's incredible to think about how he sings now compared to how he sang in 1989. A lot of time has passed, you might say. Yes, but I didn’t expect something so brutal. I want to remember them like this: Alessio, good review. Well done. But can you explain to me why a 2? This stuff is worth a 1 if there is even one.

Sting The Dream Of The Blue Turtles

Sting may be a sly one, but listening to this album is pure delight. When do you get to hear people like Hakim, Marsalis, Kirkland, Jones playing together? All of this is enhanced by Sting's superb ability to write winning melodies (in my opinion, in this field, the Sting is a true master); tracks like "Consider Me Gone," "Shadows In The Rain" (a superb rendition), "Moon Over Bourbon Street," and the closing "Fortress Around Your Heart" are outstanding. And forgive me if that's not enough. Great review, as usual.

Hold on! The beginning of the review did not have that unforgivable error of meaning and syntax (the very first sentence). Editors... could you do me a favor? Can you fix it so that the sentence makes complete sense? In other words, it should be like this: "Bill Evans era un uomo colto": without the "sapeva" in the middle. Thank you in advance!

@JakeChambers: Thank you! But I actually never left! It’s just that all the albums I wanted to review had already been reviewed ;) I agree with those who said "classic Sunday morning album," but I thought it would be rude to write that in the review.
