I'm not really in agreement with the reviewer... Well, I'm the only idiot who likes this album...

Yes, I liked it, but I prefer the next one.. However, I won't go beyond those two. Two albums from Abruptum are more than enough!! .. Good review anyway.

Oh well, when the genius of Therion is involved, Ozzy is also present!! Now the review of Secret Of The Runes is missing, and the picture is well done and ready to be framed!! However, getting back to the album, I found it somehow much harder to digest compared to all the others... I don't know why. But I'm not the only one who thinks that Deggial is their worst album (let's downgrade it, the least successful).. My rating would be 4.5, but just to avoid being contrarian, I'll give it a 5 and move on... Anyway, I still believe that Deggial is always a notch below all the others.

The review is quite short; it started off well but then it slightly deteriorated on some points, like calling it a black album... Or also the fact that you gave it a 5 when you listed as many flaws as you did merits, which is not suitable for a CD rated 5: it shouldn’t have any dead spots; if you had given it a 3, you would have deserved an extra point. You would have been more objective. Anyway, it’s not bad. The CD, well, at first it excited me, perhaps because I waited for it with TOO much eagerness... Then, after really studying it following the impact of the first listens, I realized it’s a big nonsense. The Dimmu have sunk to shameful levels starting from PEM... A real pity, considering their first 4 releases were masterpieces (yes, even Spiritual Black Dimensions) of the Symphonic Black genre. Just like Cradle Of Filth, they were great at the beginning, then they lost their creative spark. What a pity... :(

Yes, I agree with the reviewer, too much recycled and rehashed stuff... And it's also true that at some points they really sound like Evanescence. But I can’t bring myself to give them a 2. A stretched 3, perhaps, a 2.9 recurring instead, but I don’t feel like failing them!! This album, despite being a bit cheeky, managed to grab my attention at quite a few points, and even though the lovely Anette's voice will NEVER replace Tarja's, it somehow fits the atmospheres... Come on, I want to give it a second chance, a style relapse is acceptable. But if Nightwish churn out another album in the future along the same lines as this one, no one will be able to stop me from giving them a solid 1!!

I'm horrified!!!!!! The fifty-millionth little group created purely for commercial purposes, followed only by the drooling teenage girls because the singer, AS THEY CLAIM, is a "hottie" (what the hell is special about him other than having a voice like a trans with a tracheotomy, a face like a butt, and clothing that I would dare to call almost tacky)... Let's not even talk about the music; it's the tired, overused, cliché combination of pop/pseudo-emo/alternative/soft-roc k with a chorus as flaccid as my aunt's tripe and incredibly predictable, made just to shove it among all the other crap on radio and MTV, the usual clichés where today's music inevitably rots...... Enough, I’ll stop; I think I’ve made my point clear...

One of my first CDs... Too bad that now I give it only a few listens every now and then. It's very pleasant and simple as an introduction to Metal.

Oh Christ, not the Tokio Hotel!!! I bet that in less than a year they’ll demolecularize and yet another little pseudo-punk rock band made in a lab will pop up??? Maybe this time Norwegian, who knows.....
