The problem is that almost all the groups you mention at the end of the second paragraph are (in my opinion) far superior to Caterina here, but it's a matter of taste...

This one falls among the Selections, an album that is the only one I own and that has never particularly thrilled me; I'll try to give it another listen.

I am Captain Howdy and not to stir up controversy... but let's suppose that Artaudette is indeed the actual author of the review and has decided to repost it here after having already published it elsewhere. DeB, rightly, wants the right of first night on reviews, but sometimes prior publication slips through, and we end up with duplicates on the same page (those from Puni are legendary, for example), and then even in the historical archive, meaning they are not deleted... now I don't want to play the fool who complains (but if you think I am, feel free to insult me..) however, some time ago I sent a review partly taken from my blog (only partly and still written by me), specifying in it that a piece appeared elsewhere (my blog, that is), and for this reason, it was not given the satisfaction of the Casi Letterari while there are many others, including this one, that due to the more or less fraudulent silence of the copier (but I still don't know if this specific case applies, I repeat, I don't want to accuse anyone without evidence) are still available for reading... this might suggest that as usual, those who want to be clever always get away with it and those who try to do things in the open always end up suffering... now I don't want the (still highly respected by me) Editors to embark on the daunting task of cleaning up just to make me happy (also because the final decision on what can or cannot be published rightly belongs to them), but it seems fair to point out this issue that may just be a bothersome outburst but is raised by me only in the interest of the Site. Apologies for the hassle, I'm signing off now…

Great film even though the comic is superior (and it had to be, considering it's a masterpiece), but at least the underlying philosophy is quite respected. The comparisons with "300" are a bit forced (by the way, I still hear talk of forced historicity; can we wrap our heads around the fact that it's based on a comic where the historical fact is merely a pretext, as admitted by the authors themselves, to tell something else?) because these are works that are conceptually very different both in the original (the comics) and in the adaptation (the films). A brave and controversial review in the style of the author, so a solid 5.
