Lukather is everywhere, on all the records in the world... just imagine, I even have him on Alibi, the flop album by America! Very good review.

Well, whether they are little professors or not, the Melvins' version of "Venus in Furs" is truly devastating, as much for my ears as for "Venus in Furs" itself. They may be good, as many claim, but I keep insisting that I don’t understand a damn thing about them, so much so that I often can't identify with someone who presents me with an interpretation that wants me to solve the Melvins' enigma.

Beautiful, in terms of covers, is Candy-O by The Cars from their album OZMA, and their version of Venus In Furs by The Velvet Underground is devastating.

I listened to this album years ago, and as usual, I didn't understand a damn thing. Is it nice to be famous for being incomprehensible, impossible, unmatched, irreconcilable?

I understand what you mean, but 15 or 16 hours do not equal a day. I don't know according to which calendar in the history of civilization a day has ever lasted 15 or 16 hours... and if you consider that out of those 16 hours, 7 are nighttime (the homepage in question appeared around one in the morning), and another chunk of "hours made available to us" by the Editors were daytime-morning-working hours, well then who reads my reviews, BUT ALSO YOURS AND THEIRS? If I post one a day and you want to let it wash away day after day one at a time, then I have no problem; OTHERWISE, if I post 2 in 5 days, I don’t like seeing them slip away into the cup in 15 or 16 hours.

I’m writing this here because they won’t let me write it on the playlist: after all this noise made by the Editors, the reviews have reappeared, and with them, the FLUSHING: my two reviews, posted 5 and 2 days ago, have appeared together on the home page, they received one comment (not one each, but just one), and the commented one was viewed 37 times... I don’t believe I deserve much attention on this site, certainly less than many other esteemed reviewers, but it’s not like the Editors are killing themselves to make me appear as a first-class star, let’s be honest! My reviews might have been crap, but I believe that many reviews on that home page were excellent and many artists and works reviewed deserved a much longer stay on the home page than the fifteen hours they got. STOP THE FLUSHING: sign up too! The Editors, with their strike, now find themselves dealing with a sea of overdue reviews? Their problem, as Trismegistus said. I want a home page that doesn’t change with every moonrise, and I don’t want to be flushed away, because I don’t regard myself and the things I do as nonsense. I would rather be banned for life, but don’t flush me away! Join the "STOP THE FLUSHING" campaign too!

I've always trusted gray velvet (and of course, just look at the fact that he even reviewed Rundgren before me!), so I can only listen to it, this great record… just the thought that he might have made mistakes makes me feel like an idiot… for the sake of it: I wouldn't believe it even if he admitted it himself. The only song from this album I know is the title track, 58 minutes to not die, in the live version (back in the days of the compilations "Il Grande Rock": do you remember them?)… Such a drag! P.S.: why is Garcia underrated in Italy? Because he's backed by Buscadero (and then by cowboy mambo), obviously.
