"No one has voted for this review yet.
Don’t you want to be the first?"
In fact, "...the best: The Best Damn Thing," excuse me but is your review a provocation? I don’t understand... Now I'll read it again... "...masterpiece...?" Excuse me? Bah, okay, I don’t share your ideas, the review seems too subjective to me (I know it’s impossible to be totally objective but here...). Now I’ll allow myself to be subjective: it’s not a masterpiece!!!

Then honestly, what the heck, in Under My Skin in some tracks she seemed to have matured (at least a bit) and now??? Maybe she's afraid to produce more "difficult" albums because then they wouldn't sell millions of copies. In my opinion, she has some talent, but it’s really channeled poorly!!!!

...mmmh, I’ve only listened to a couple of songs... without a doubt, Innocence is the best (for now, but I think it's hard to surpass...). Even Innocence, though, smells of calculation, of something pre-packaged; I don’t know if you get what I mean! Avril, from what I read around, says that especially in the last album, she's the one who took care of the production... instead, I see too much “perfection” in it, this stuff is made just to make money. What a shame.

Nice CD, but as with all, there are tracks that are never listened to...
Dear Mr President... wow...---> and it hit the mark since it was censored in the USA...
Kelly Clarkson Breakaway

Interesting, however I find the review a bit disconnected...
Perhaps some might find Kelly's analogy with Avril interesting: Lavigne wrote the lyrics (or so it's said) of Breakaway...

It’s wrong to stay anchored in the past. BHAR is a great album (from my point of view). I don’t want to come across as preachy, but you compare this CD with the earlier ones to judge it. I’d like to clarify that I too, every time I listen to a CD, first compare it with the artist’s previous works, but I believe we need to go beyond that. I think that Take A Bow, Starlight, Map Of The Problematique, and Knights Of Cydonia are excellent tracks (even though Starlight has been very “commercialized,” because “commercializing” is not synonymous with being predictable...)
