Straylight Run knows exactly which elements to put in a song, and they place them in just the right spot.

Unfortunately, however, in my humble opinion, they are excessively repetitive, the songs all sound the same.

The reviewer is impressed by Straylight Run’s melodic indie style but finds the album too repetitive. Standout songs like "Existentialism On Prom Night" and "Your Name Here" are praised. Michelle Nolan’s vocals add welcome variation. Overall, the album is good but lacks originality. Discover Straylight Run’s melodic indie rock—listen to their standout ballads and decide for yourself!

‘Let Go’ is probably just my feeling, but following the words, you internalize the emotions of the one singing.

Jaël sings really well, and unfortunately, it is often her voice alone that holds up the songs.

Lunik’s fifth album, 'Preparing To Leave,' blends melodic pop with subtle trip-hop influences and introspective lyrics. Jaël’s distinctive voice shines throughout, especially on standout ballads like 'Let Go.' While some tracks feel repetitive, the album remains a beautiful and relaxing listen, with a touching hidden track to discover. Listen to Lunik’s 'Preparing To Leave' to experience Jaël’s mesmerizing voice and heartfelt melodies.
