This is the first review I’m writing, and I know I’ve omitted the origins and artistic training of the artist. I wrote it in 10 minutes, trying to be as concise as possible; I was mainly interested in introducing the musician. Yes, I care about the rating of what I wrote, but even more about the album and the artist, so I ask anyone who comes across this page, if they know who DeVille is, to give a rating to the CD that represents him well.

I’m interested in the vote for what I’ve written, but much more for the album and the artist, so I ask anyone who comes across this page, if you know Hank Williams, to give a vote to the CD that represents him worthily.

You’re right when you say that the production isn’t the best, but in my opinion, it’s the most inspired album in terms of songwriting. Songs like "Spirit In The Night," "For You," and "Blinded By The Light" (I prefer the cover by Manfred Mann for the latter, and "For You" is also great in Greg Kihn's version) are among his most beautiful tracks.

The best album by Mayall, beautiful from the first note to the last. More relaxing than Tavor.

I have always considered ZZ TOP the best Rock Blues band. (Before the commercial shift) Gibbons is one of the best Rock guitarists, and La Grange is worth the price of the CD on its own. Not to mention the best, my favorite album is Deguello.

Truly a great album, the version of Sympathy for the Devil is unmatched. Jagger and the band haven't expressed themselves at the same level as Get Yer...

I wanted to write a review about this great album... but since you've already done it, I'll skip it because I completely agree with what you wrote.

Just a note to Fidia's comment, I’m a straightforward person, so if I have any criticism to make, I say it openly without subtly suggesting that others know nothing. I demonstrated that in my reply; if I put the word "extraordinary" in quotes, it’s because I feel you take a little too much pleasure in your writing skills. I want to make it clear that I respect the opinions of other readers; I just stated that I find certain artists overrated. What’s wrong with that? But if it bothers you, I swear I won’t do it again. You’re direct too; I copied that from one of your comments... Aside from the nonsense about punk and how this album is a masterpiece ("one of the best punk CDs of all time"), I’d like to remind you that the Italian language is important and should not be underestimated. What I mean is that it’s right to have your own opinions and defend them, but for that reason, it’s fundamental to know Italian, both spoken and written, in order to communicate them. Unless you’re a fake, in which case, alas, you wouldn’t have achieved the goal of making people laugh. If you send me your email, I’ll send you a screenplay I wrote. Bye.

Dear Fidia, I don't have to write a novel when I craft a critique, which is why I haven't digested your comment. You claim that I didn't even write the review, while I believe I made it clear how DeVille writes and how good he is even live. I don't want to shed light on these pages; I just wish to inform, and it seems to me that an artist like DeVille deserves a few lines since no one has ever done it. Perhaps you didn't like that I listed Black Sabbath among the most overrated groups; come to terms with it, their album that you reviewed is terrible, like almost all of their production. I’ve read some of the things you’ve written, and I must admit you have a good pen, but I got the impression that you seek more than anything the approval of your readers through your "extraordinary" writing talent. Concerning the criticism I made of the Cibicida list, I wanted to highlight what I believe is a shortcoming; if you read carefully, I wrote that tastes are not to be discussed and I certainly don't consider them poor souls who know nothing about music. Perhaps soon I’ll write about Hank Williams, start informing yourself because you might think he's just aftershave. Cheers from your friend Bubi.
