The Sabbath, starting from the previous "Master of Reality" (1971), tuned their instruments a tone and a half lower than the standard 440hz (A). I believe they were the first to use and make characteristic such an extreme detune... An album with good ideas but unfortunately ruined by the fragmentation stemming from being rich and famous in Los Angeles amidst a sea of cocaine... 3 and 1/2.

Well, if we really had to do another (unfortunately pointless) review of this album, it was necessary to provide some technical details: for example, the bass is played by Gene Simmons only on his own tracks, while on "Sure Know Something," it’s played by Paul. Each song is practically performed alone by its author, relying on external session musicians (almost all the drum parts are played by Anton Fig, drummer for Ace Frehley). The review is written quite well, but unfortunately, since this album has already been reviewed multiple times, I have to lower the rating to two and a half.
