The first hard\rruock boulder was "You Really Got Me" by the Kinks (just ask the aroused Eddie Van Halen), few cazz. This volume II of the Dirigibile redefines the heavy-blues coordinates within the debut and creates the prototype of modern hard\rruock. The empty-fulls of "Ramble On," the sensual roughness of electric crawlers like "Heartbreaker" & "Whole Lotta Love" dazzle and confuse. Epic.

Hello to you too, faber. And thanks for "brilliant" and "wonderful"..Good morning. However, "Columbia," "Rock'N'Roll Star" & "Supersonic" don't seem very pop, huh.

To Mike, Madonna "pop icon"? But what, oh? Marilyn was pop culture, or Grace Jones or Debbie Harry... Ciccone smoking crap in the Eighties, just the same in her supposed "trendy phase" that started with "Ray Of Light" (all smoke and mirrors for naïve listeners unable to distinguish a Mirwais production from another by Nellee Hooper), for which those who used to disdain her grotesquely venerated her. Much more clever (and sexy) Kylie, if you don't mind.

I prefer "Empire of the Sun." I saw it with school when I was 11 years old.
