Stefano Sollima ACAB-All Cops Are Bastards
Voto:
A really beautiful film that pairs well with Diaz - dont clean this blood. I haven't read all the comments, but I've seen the film a couple of times and I remember it well enough, and it doesn't seem to me that the violence is justified or glorified here, quite the opposite. Often, I think our judgments inevitably involve the good / bad dichotomy, in which the police obviously play the role of the latter, but I believe reality is a bit more nuanced.

These are the reviews I like, precise, timely, just the right length, and with that hint of irony as soft as powdered sugar on a yogurt cake. I gladly assign them 5 balls.

Bob and the Apple Wanderlust

The mythical Bob and the Apple, I used to go see them years ago in Trento when I was doing my bachelor's degree. Anyway, I remember that even back then they made me cringe; I found them unbearable. They had the attitudes of cursed rockstars (but by whom?) and their music was incredibly clichéd. I recall at least one concert near the old (sigh) uni along with other bands... not many times have I felt such a strong sense of annoyance listening to a bunch of kids (back then). I wonder if they’ve improved by now? I doubt I'll ever know the answer.

I found a lot of rhetoric in it.
Miles Davis Get Up With It
Voto:
You say practically nothing about the album that deserved a much deeper analysis, especially for two reasons: it is the record that closes Miles' second (or third?) period, in which Miles himself plays the organ a lot, almost supplanting the trumpet, and it's a double album based on old recordings - Honky Tonk goes back to 1970. Furthermore, it could be paired with its little twin Big Fun, same year, same format, and the same bubbling mix of old recordings stitched together by Macero's mastery.
In any case, two albums (actually 4) in which the best Miles had already said goodbye for a while.
A review that, as often happens around here, gets lost in self-indulgence while talking about itself and not about the work.
