I know I saw them live in 2002 (they were opening for Bad Religion) and I also remember that they entertained me quite a bit, but then I completely forgot about their existence.
The Exploited Troops Of Tomorrow

I've always found the exploited pretty disgusting, zero desire to give them another listen.

Mastodon Live At The Aragon

Unfortunately, Mastodon with Crack The Skye have broken through more than just the market, at least for me :( Enduring it live...meh!
Baroness Blue Record

Eh, if only these tracks reminded me of Mastodon from Leviathan... For me, this album is the summation of "who cares" (anyway, just to be safe, I'll listen to it again now).

But my words, even if you take them as such, are not meant to be sterilely polemical; I'm not the type (just take a look at the comments I've left over the years on Debaser to understand this). It's simply that for me, Rise Against represent the non plus ultra of qualitatively bland melodically hardcore (a genre I've been listening to for about fifteen years now and which I quite enjoy when done right), and every time I hear them spoken of as if they were some extraordinary band, I can't help but scrunch my nose.

You've convinced me, damn it! I'm running to buy it!
Clive Cussler with Jack Du Brul La Nave dei Morti

It's all good, but 5 for Clive Cussler, no.

I liked that quote from Supporting Caste in one of the comments. I Rise Against...meh
