THE REVIEW

Britney Spears is the princess of Pop. I want to make that clear. We are not talking about Ke$ha or Heidi Montag, we are talking about Britney Spears.

Many hate her, others love her, some only know her name (and her scandals). But she truly knows how to handle music. Rolling Stone magazine rates it 4/5 stars, Digital Spy 5/5. What? "Femme Fatale"! That's the name of Spears' new (master)piece, where a radical change occurs. Dance Music. Personally, I consider the album very good, excellent in some parts, less excellent in others.

The ratings are based on "how well a track fits within the album": 10 if it's perfect for the album, 1 if it has nothing to do with it."

It starts with Till The World Ends, a very Dance track and very valid. The only downside: the fantastic part is in the last 30 seconds of the song. 9/10

Hold It Against Me, the second track of the album, is the great Hit of the album, reaching 1 in the USA and 2 in Italy. 10/10

Inside Out is the third track, very beautiful, very slow. 9/10

I Wanna Go is the most beautiful track on the album, along with Hold it Against Me and Criminal. It's a very Dance track and I think it somewhat represents the soul of the album. 10/10

How I Roll is perhaps one of the most useless tracks on the album. Not that it's ugly, but at times it seems ridiculous. 6/10

(Drop Dead) Beautiful presents itself as a very beautiful track, and Sabi, the "unknown" taking part in the song, proves to be quite good. 10/10

Seal It with a Kiss is a fairly cute track, but like Inside Out, it doesn't appeal immediately. 8/10

Big Fat Bass: O.O. 2/10

Trouble for Me: great comeback from Spears after that abomination of a song done with will.i.am. 9/10

Trip to Your Heart: very similar to Heaven On Heart from her Blackout album. Cute. 7/10

Gasoline: Very Dance track, almost mysterious, beautiful. 9/10

Criminal: Beautiful. 10/10

There is also the Deluxe version of the album which contains 4 more tracks:

Up n' Down: Unique. 8/10

He About to Lose Me: Very beautiful. 10/10

Selfish: Beautiful. 9/10

Don't Keep Me Waiting: Almost rock. Almost. 10/10

In conclusion, I think "Femme Fatale" is a truly worthy album of an artist of the caliber of Britney Spears.
