Can you churn out a great review even when you use a style that’s less zzzzzz-ian and more... shall we say, Euclidean? ;)
It's not my kind of music anyway...

zzzzzzzzzzz, you are phenomenal, this is one of the most beautiful reviews I have ever read. I was listening to the album on Sunday night, headphones on and volume at 43 (normally it's at 20-25). And I was thinking the exact same things: what beautiful songs, what a beautiful voice - sure they're the usual love songs, nothing new, and it feels a bit mannered - but what beautiful melodies, what a pleasant voice to imagine etc etc etc

Great review, but I don't agree with the veiled negative judgment on the Flaming Lips of the nineties... The Soft Bulletin is a fantastic album!

Wayne Coyne is completely off his rocker! How beautiful is "Yoshimi battles... part I"??? The only note is that Fight Test is lifted straight from Father And Son by Cat Stevens; in fact, if I'm not mistaken, the old man sued him and won (money). heartfelt review, I agree, also because you mention Do You Realize and that incredible song is a testament to something unbelievable, which started in Dublin in 2002 and ended in Warsaw after a year, marking my life, a telepathy, a magic, a fairy tale, an illusion? Who knows. I'm crying.
