I was thinking.. how nice it would be to have a sort of "map" of genres. For each style, the roots, the initiators, the greatest representatives, and those who then de-generate it...

Yeah, especially for someone like me who really has little familiarity with the genre. For example, I thought that the true pioneers of all things industrial were absolutely the Throbbing Gristle, and now I know that there was already something more seminal before (going back even to Stockhausen). But on the other hand - as a general rule - there is ALWAYS "something more seminal, before." I believe. Thank you, I love you all, big hugs! :-))))).

Hi Caz... 1) Well, officially it's "early 2005", January was mentioned, March was mentioned, I've personally decided to stop planning anything... 2) He'll do one of his super cool DJ sets (without Bolland, I think)... 3) We got married and we have 5 little kids, guess what we named them. Cheers :)

kosmo, great review. Worthy of the SY. You should have seen them at IndependentDays... I have no words to describe their greatness, that chaos with the guitars, those dissonances, it’s just THEM, one can try to imitate them, sure, but nothing: the SY recipe is only delicious when cooked by Thurston&Co! Compelling, poetic, biting... a truly RICH band. I couldn’t choose between Daydream Nation, Dirty, and Experimental Jet Set... (with a slight preference for the latter), I don’t have Nurse because I read bad things about it, but after the concert and your review... ehm... you wouldn’t help me get it, would you, gabri?

No, I don't discourage it at all; he's amazing live! It's just that, live, you can tell he's a bit arrogant... but that's not a good reason to skip the concert, especially if CocoRosie is performing! Tell Sierra to write to me!!! :-)))
