I agree, in its genre, the album isn't that bad (regardless of whether you like his music or not) ... certainly Max Pezzali has always rubbed me the wrong way! ... but he has had the ability to churn out some real "commercial gems" .... anyway, the cover is really cool!

A rather "popular music" EP without major pretensions; a kind of pastime like "settimana enigmistica" for S. Wilson. There are some good melodies, as well as some unsuccessful electro-rock experiments. The album didn't win me over...

... listen, music is such a relative thing that everything can seem beautiful or ugly depending on how you see it ... I don't share your point of view, but I respect it. Certainly, the album in question is not a "brilliant work" (personally, I find it has good ideas, good craftsmanship ... but a bit sparse overall) ... like a lot of PT albums, it doesn't shine ... however, it is very pleasant, easy to listen to, and it's not a two-star piece of junk as you've judged it.
They may be overrated, definitely by fans (I'm not a fan and I don't overrate them), but we need to be fair in our judgment! ... PT has a very personal style and their music embodies an ideal (certainly one that has been overused for a long time!), but they are not just mindless copycats, and their various productions demonstrate that.
Moreover, it's not necessary for a musician to wake up every day and invent something new that no one has ever done (this happens very rarely!!) ... the important thing is that they manage to evoke emotions ... they have given me many emotions, and I won't spit on a band that deserves respect, just because some of their work hasn't turned out as well.

I listened carefully to this album and I must say that the ideas are there! ... the most highlighted concept throughout the album (and I believe it is the central theme) is the frenzy and the "psychopathy" of our times! ... Verdena have managed to expressively (if not rather unmeasuredly) depict the darkest side of our age, the total void of meanings, of ideals, the apathy... the "homo homini lupus" in music. ... WELL DONE ... it's just a shame that the album is quite fragmented; I would have preferred fewer tracks but more polished ones (and the instrumental interludes are nothing short of unnecessary); I don't like Alberto's voice (while in the other albums it's magnificent!).. therefore, in some respects, the album is a bit disappointing ... 3 stars (+ 1/2 for the good intentions).

I was listening to this album again a few days ago... well, I have to say that I don't find it very impressive... in the sense that it ends up not making much of an impression.
Don't get me wrong, all the tracks are good... but the arrangements aren't... and apart from the magnificent "Russia on Ice," which is worth all the euros of the album by itself, there aren't any particularly exciting moments... and from what I've heard, even "Fear of a Blank Planet," the latest effort from PT, is going to be a bit of a flop!!

... they should have titled the album "Fake Anger" ... by now no one believes these guys are truly angry ... with all the money they've made ... puah .... music for kids and for MTV ...

Dear reviewer, is it true that in this album there are extremely low volume parts barely perceptible to the human ear? ... in some tracks there are voices (the singing, I suppose (??)) very faint and it's hard to understand what is being sung ... then a large part of the album is extremely reverberated and has quite an elusive presence? .... is that so? .. or did I listen to something else? ... thank you.
