Fabrizio De André Fabrizio De André in concerto volume 1
Voto:
this live is definitely better than vol.2 with pfm and there’s more room for the best songs from BOCCA DI ROSA to AMICO FRAGILE, all arranged in a rock key but the impression is that De Andrè struggles to get used to these more sustained rhythms!
Fabrizio De André Fabrizio De André in concerto vol.2
Voto:
I agree with Viva Li': De André with these live performances doesn't really hit a higher note, quite the opposite... classic songs arranged in a prog-rock key don’t match the calm and troubadour style of De André's earlier work!!! As for the songs from RIMINI, well, they are not much good either in the studio or in this live: the collaboration first with Bubola and then with PFM has been and still is overrated in terms of execution quality and rendition. A decent work, nothing more!!!
Francesco Guccini Via Paolo Fabbri 43
Voto:
sad, goliardic, and definitive. masterpiece along with roots
Francesco Guccini Stanze di vita quotidiana
Voto:
this album stands between two masterpieces like radici and via paolo fabbri 43 and is the least loved by the artist. And he is right: too gloomy, repetitive, shockingly proud and musically horrendous: schizoid and banal arrangements with marimbas, congas and absolutely out-of-place jingles. Here Guccio was more depressed than usual and the 6 compositions are the most tiring in the Guccini repertoire.
Francesco Guccini Stagioni
Voto:
the puppeteer of words repeats himself, partially worsening the level achieved since '87. SEASONS is embarrassing, DON QUIXOTE is pompous and demagogic, I STILL HAVE THE STRENGTH is trivial because it was written with Ligabue.
Francesco Guccini Signora Bovary
Voto:
perhaps the most beautiful album musically speaking. But the songs talk about tired and worn-out themes without any innovative spark. SCIROCCO and VAN LOON the highs
Francesco Guccini Ritratti
Voto:
the puppeteer of words repeats himself with another flat record that has in A SONG and PIAZZA ALIMONDA the only high notes. Then only empty self-serving historical-geographical digressions
Francesco Guccini Radici
Voto:
one of Guccini's two masterpieces, alongside Via Paolo Fabbri 43. But Radici is the manifesto of Guccini's poetics. Amerigo is slightly inferior to the aforementioned albums. Then only a few high notes and a lot of boredom and repetitiveness that increasingly wears you out.
Francesco Guccini Quello che non...
Voto:
honest songs with a lot of craftsmanship and little innovation. Repetitiveness as in all of Guccini's albums from SIGNORA BOVARY '87 to RITRATTI '04. The song of usual questions is the high point.
Francesco Guccini Parnassius Guccinii
Voto:
The puppeteer of words continues to craft songs with great skill and little innovation. "Canzone per Silvia" and "Farewell" are the pearls.
