Is the last of the DIJ about to come out? What news!!! I actually don’t know anything about it... I knew that Pearce had been working for a long time on an old project interrupted by alarm agents... something like "the concrete fountain", if I’m not mistaken, in which Pearce seems to have finally broken free from Rice and various collaborators and is doing his own thing... let's hope inspiration has returned, because I couldn't handle another weak album...

Lovelorn, I tried to find the album by sieben that you once recommended, but I couldn't locate it... I'm very intrigued by the sieben project, but for one reason or another, I don't own anything... I saw that the latest one was released, but before proceeding with the purchase, I would like to read something about it... I don't know Unto Ashes, so I'll try to gather some information...

Yes, I recommend them, I actually like them even more than the forseti... Anyway, these days I'm preparing a review on Orplid which I also highly recommend... As for availability, Helfahrt is actually easy to find, it's already in its third reprint, but for now that one is available... Where do I find this stuff? Look, it's a tragedy... There used to be a little dark shop where I got my supplies, but now it's closed down, so I have to rely on the classic channels: 1) when I travel abroad or I'm in big cities, I rush to look for record stores; 2) second-hand fairs; 3) mail order (masterpiecedistribution is not bad, check out the site); 4) always and anyway, antennae up and wallet ready. In short: a shitty life...
Danzig Danzig III: How The Gods Kill

bjorky, reading your comments and reviews, I don’t think you would like Danzig... with prog and Tool, it doesn’t really fit at all... it’s a mix between hard rock (Led Zeppelin, AC/DC) and metal... but at the same time it’s a bit soft (a bit because it tries to be dark, a bit due to its blues roots)... I don’t know, if I were you I would let it go, and if you really want to give it a shot, then try Lucifuge (which is the best) or 4 (which is a bit more "alternative")... in my opinion, the best Giger cover is that of Celtic Frost's To Mega Therion (with the Devil using the crucified Christ as a slingshot...)

Thank you all...perhaps the term kitschy isn't entirely fitting: I used it in a "good" sense, not to indicate something in poor taste or unpleasant, but as something excessive, exaggerated: and Therion are masters of exaggeration, and their merit is having exaggerated more than anyone else...anyway, I stopped at "Secrets of the Runes," which, by the way, I no longer own...over time they wore me out a bit, and more than anything, I suffered the fact that over time they became more of a project of just Johnsson, whereas up to Theli they were a real band (oh, how I miss Piotr!), but I don't know the latest albums so I could be mistaken. Anyway, Ozzy, I want to point out another gem that you might not know: even if you don't like his voice, I can recommend "Underground" by Messiah, a Swiss death metal band that hosted Christofer on vocals for that one episode...nothing special, but if you’re a completist...

It's indeed hard to judge, Hal: at times it seems strained, but at others it captivates you because there are some truly beautiful pieces... it lacks rigor, perhaps a sense of project and some background reflection, but Wyatt's magic ultimately prevails... for me, even after repeated listens, the balance is positive... that man never fails to impress me...
Danzig Danzig II: Lucifuge

well, aside from the exquisitely provocative spirit of my statement, it's true that the first Led Zeppelin album contained reinterpretations of blues tracks. I don't want to say something stupid, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that initially Page was quite reluctant to admit this tendency to draw from the blues heritage, often appropriating (as a songwriter) tracks that weren’t exactly his and stylistic solutions from others. That's why many view Led Zeppelin II as the true revolutionary album of the band (I actually still appreciate the first one more). It’s true that Led Zeppelin are unmatched artists, and it was they who created, blues or no blues, the language of modern hard rock, while Danzig has never contributed anything of worth... but it just rubs off, nothing more...

Better, then I've always said good... I started to have doubts... thanks!
