Paolo Rossi In Italia Si Sta Male

I heard the little song on Fazio's show, nothing special about the song or the performance. A bit of irony in the lyrics, but not too sharp. However, I’ve liked Paolino since the time of "Su la testa," when his satire had surreal elements. Times change, the square calms down... Maybe it’s easy to think the worst, but sometimes it’s quick to call someone a fool :)

Heard a few weeks ago, pleasant album. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive; I thought the covers would bother me, yet I listened to it with pleasure. Nice, even though punisher isn't wrong in considering it "lesser" compared to their previous works. I also heard an interview with Servillo where he talked about the work. He said they tried many of Conte's songs, then chose the ones they thought were the most fitting. Let's hope they don't fall into the temptation of a chapter II with what’s left over. Bye.

I listened to it some time ago at a friend's house who told me the unfortunate story. You're right to critically highlight the commercial nature of anthologies, but all in all, this one helped me get a picture of an important artist. Nice retrieval and a thx to anoniodeste for the information about the reprints. Haloa

Thank you, Antonio, for the information; I wasn't sure about it, in fact. Anyway, the live test for a musician is always important, I would love to hear it... if it happens.

"Please, please, don’t kill me. Please baby, you know I love you. I never wanted to leave you, it wasn’t my fault. Really, I’m sincere. That day I ran out of gas. I got a flat tire. I didn’t have money for the taxi! My tuxedo didn’t arrive on time from the dry cleaner! A friend came to visit me from far away, someone I hadn’t seen in years! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! A locust invasion! IT WASN’T MY FAULT!"

Thank you for the comment, hypnosphere boy. I won't go into details about Afterhours because I don't think I know them well enough to confirm or deny what you say. I can only say that I found this cover spot-on at the time, and it wasn't easy at all. Bye.

While reading, I had some déjà-vu, a faded memory of having seen this film, I don't know when or on what occasion. I will do everything to see it or re-see it. Thank you.

Paolo Fresu e Uri Caine Live @ Teatro Aurora - Scandicci

A friend of mine was at that concert; we spoke on the phone the day after. He just kept repeating, "so amazing... so amazing... they created a wonderful atmosphere." I told him we would talk about it again because I was thinking of going to see them in Cagliari, but I missed the opportunity. And it was a real shame because the album they recorded together last year, "Things," is one of the best of 2006. The poetry of Monteverdi alone, which the flamingo Fresu interpreted with surprising lyricism alongside the wild Caine on electric piano, would have been enough. What a pity... great photo anyway.

Very accurate as a review, but I put the album aside early on; it's nice, nothing more.
