You know, I somewhat expected it :). I've heard this "critique" before. It's an opinion that at first glance I don't feel I can share. However, to respond, I would like to understand what you mean by musical poverty and richness; otherwise, we're not on the same page. Bye

Dear Nino, you surely misunderstood me or maybe I expressed myself poorly. I did not intend to pass judgment on Battisti. Even less did I want to embark on a discussion ("del menga," indeed) regarding De Andrè. By saying that Battisti did not write the lyrics to his songs, I merely wanted to highlight one of the differences (as an artist) from De Andrè and wrap up the discussion. For me, this difference is the most important. However, stating that Battisti exclusively composed music is the affirmation of a truth. I do not want to connect a value judgment to this fact. Asserting a fact is one thing. Attributing a value to that fact is another. I assert a fact, you connect it with a (derogatory) value and attribute it to me, but you must know that it does not belong to me. Furthermore, I am a bit perplexed that you consider it derogatory to say that Battisti was a good composer. Perhaps you mean to say that such an assertion diminishes him, but I do not believe this either.
As for "Creuza de ma," I remind you that a similar discourse can be extended to other albums by De Andrè. Throughout his career, there have been many collaborations (PFM, De Gregori, Fossati, for example). But I do not quite understand the need for a percentage breakdown of merits. That said, long live respect for differences. On this, we completely agree. Bye.

No kosmo, I completely disagree. De Andrè and Battisti were never two sides of the same coin. Their stories are incredibly different. You can't reduce the judgment to a casual moment on the beach under the stars in front of the fire. But deep down, I understand the reason for your judgment, because you yourself say you don't know Faber's music very well. Their songs are very, very different. "La canzone di marinella" was just the beginning of a story that has continually evolved, and many evidently don't know that. Alright K., we'll try to help you fill in the gap if you want :) Bye.
