Jovanotti Lorenzo 1992
Voto:
One of the most challenging tests of skill for a reviewer is to speak knowledgeably, as if it were truly music, about the absolute void. Bravo McSampyr: a tightrope walker unafraid of the abyss of Jovanottian idiocy that opens up beneath him.

And what do I do instead... I lose 5. So I'm a repeat offender!

One can never apologize enough: to cancel out a 5 incidentally for such garbage would require some zeros.

Sorry, I flipped the vote on the record.

Really astonishing is Max Pezzali's reflection on the world's problems in "Il problema," not so much for the content, which is quite trite, but because it reveals Max's unexpected ability to think. Still, the review is nice.
Bryan Ferry Boys and Girls
Voto:
Class and refinement are in abundance; perhaps it lacks a bit of that genius typical of early Roxy Music, but in the end, it's a splendid specimen (one of the best accomplished) of 80s albums, a decade when it was trendy to pay more attention to form than substance.
Peter Gabriel Long Walk Home for The Rabbit Proof Fence
Voto:
How is it that a Gabrielian like me doesn't know this soundtrack? I need to rectify that. Good review (the one on "Ovo" didn't convince me much).
Roberto Vecchioni Samarcanda
Voto:
Vecchioni, my ancient cross and delight: some of the most intelligent and poetic lyrics ever heard, with some of the most boring music in the world... a bit less so in this Samarcanda, as in the equally valid "Calabuig stranamore ecc."
Bruno Maderna The Oboe Concertos
Voto:
You always catch me off guard: I stopped around Stravinsky, more or less. Of course, I could occasionally take a few trips into contemporary music, perhaps encouraged by a review (as usual) of the highest quality.
Francesco Guccini Parnassius Guccinii
Voto:
I am an ardent Guccini fan, but to me, this album has a perfect first half (from "Canzone per Silvia" to "Nostra Signora dell'ipocrisia") and a slightly stagnant ending. In particular, "Dovevo fare del cinema," "Luna fortuna," and more than any other, "Parole," seem to belong to a less inspired Guccini. But this is just my personal opinion. It remains an excellent album, and the review... Well, the "cece65" label is now a guarantee, especially for Italian singer-songwriters.
