To degregorius: LAGER and ANTENOR nonsense? Are we sure you've heard them? And then, it’s true that your nickname says it all, but is it possible that from your comments on my numerous reviews of singer-songwriters, it comes out that only De Gregori is a genius, and all the others (including De André) have to take their hats off? Now, as much as I too am a huge fan of the Prince, this seems like a position a bit too much from a fan perspective. Legitimate, of course, but heavily tilted toward the adoration of De Gregori.

Perhaps the track-by-track could have been avoided, but the rest of the review is excellent, and even though it's a duplicate, it's so different from the previous one that it doesn't deserve harsh criticism. There's little to say about the album: one of the absolute masterpieces of progressive.

Even though I personally prefer "Gulliver la luna e altri disegni" (which I've reviewed for a reason), this is a remarkable album, almost perfect. In addition to the more famous tracks, it contains many gems that have remained largely unknown (first and foremost "Il marinaio"). There are a few too many little tales towards the end (mostly "La lepre nella luna"), but then everything is uplifted by the magical suggestions between the Indian and the medieval in "Bella dama senza pietà." A more poetic than analytical review, but very successfully done.

Aside from the questionable judgment on "John Barleycorn Must Die," an album that one might say is excessively virtuosic, but certainly not that it is too tied to the song form, the rest is excellent, as the record deserves. Personally, it should be clear that I definitely prefer the more "acclaimed" one: not by chance, I also reviewed it.

TinyBanks... (by the way, any relation to Tony Banks? As a die-hard Genesis fan, I see it as a likely origin for your nickname). I was saying: TinyBanks, the aim I have is precisely to make people want to listen to the records I describe, so your reaction brings me great pleasure. As for genuflecting and the great prophet, I hope (and believe) those are joking expressions. There's already Bisius who has introduced the pagan cult of the Grasshopper: once there was the golden calf, now there is the golden pig. He's more than enough for me.

Cofras, I tried to dissuade him but Bisius adores me and even promised to place my image (which here on debaser is represented by a pig) next to the Madonna (I’m not joking, he really wrote it in a comment on one of my reviews), which in these times of stuffy extremism could get him into trouble if the Vatican found out. Unlike Silvio, who could fire Bondi, I can’t do anything about it, so I keep this admirer, who sometimes moves me with his absolute devotion.

P.S. still for Iside: you're very harsh with this album, even more than the Punisher who, as the name suggests, takes down for a living, and indeed he even has a nice little pup called Stronko. Just out of curiosity: do you think "Ventilazione" is a piece of junk, or are you one of those who can't stand Fossati at all?

I join the Saputello in strongly recommending the listening of "The Firebird," a work that may be less revolutionary than "The Rite," but certainly more comprehensible and enjoyable, even for a "romantic" ear like mine.

Indeed, oh Isis, I was referring to the albums of singer-songwriters (as I have also written) and not to Italian albums in general: it is obvious that among the latter there are plenty more rock-oriented than "Ventilazione."

A word for Bisius as well: my "bosses" (1 boss + 3 colleagues on my level) are aware of my debaserian double life and not only tolerate it, but sometimes they even read the reviews. The reality is much more mundane, and the truth is that occasionally I have some sluggish periods or (who knows?) I prefer to go for a stroll...
