Guys, I'm stepping in because I'm the author of the review and because Iside got me a bit riled up. Sorry Iside, you can think what you want, but if from the first list you only save Battisti and don't recognize that Alex had a nice voice and didn't just make simple tunes (actually, his songs were very much oriented towards our local soul), then there are two possibilities: either you're deaf or you don't understand a damn thing. You don't know who Battiato is? And Baglioni doesn’t have a voice? Go see an ENT. Bye.

I just said that he had a great voice, and that’s it. I didn’t say and I don’t think he was the greatest Italian singer; Orietta Berti doesn’t move me at all, but he does – it’s just a matter of taste. If you want to insist on being right, I warn you, you’ve found the wrong person to argue with. We just have two different points of view, that’s all.

@ALGOL I agree with your comment, I don't think they are a bunch of fools, they are also good, but like all Italian artists... money comes first. There was only one singer who had the courage to sing in Genoese, not caring if he wouldn’t sell anything, his name is Faber. I agree about the greatest rock band in history, their albums are all great, even the last one which contains three gems.

I really like De Gregori, I even have some of his records. That said, in my opinion, the review is too long; it's a struggle to read it all (just to be clear). And then, although De Gregori is a great artist, De André is the greatest in Italian music and beyond. Afterwards, there’s Battiato and Battisti. I don’t know the album well, I’ll catch up; for now, I'll give it three based on the feelings I have for Francesco.
