One should not allow this collection to be lowered to the rank of "Greatest Hits."
One of the best box sets created to celebrate the Him of Italian singer-songwriter poetry.
Francesco Guccini: Live@ RTSI
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Effective concert, straightforward, simple and bare sounds, yet clean and efficient in enhancing Guccini's lyrical work. 3 for the character that I don't particularly like and for some interruptions in the midst of a masterpiece like "Bologna".

After a concert I attended in Turin, I stopped following him. Arrogant, pretentious, anachronistic, and snobbish...

What he writes for me does not reflect what he says. A communist yes in words (and what words…) but I strongly doubt he is still what he proclaimed to be in the Seventies: I saw him live twice recently and honestly, in both cases, he seemed a bit "trido" (allow me an Emilian term): continuous misplaced jabs at Celentano and the Sanremo Festival, "Che do bali" when the applause drags on, and speeches to introduce the songs that have little to do with what he claimed to be at the beginning. If we are to choose a singer-songwriter focused on poetry while also looking at the social and political sphere, De Gregori is much better, quieter but also more focused on music; overall, his live performances are more enjoyable than an old, drunken reggiano like Guccini has become in recent years. Then I don't know what it was like back in the days of this album.
