For me, Waters' masterpiece. A dreamlike journey through the mind of a man, the album that, had it taken a different path, would have been released under the Pink Floyd name instead of The Wall, and now everyone would still be singing its praises. Instead, it’s an album by the solo and somewhat despised Ruggerone. To be listened to even after death. Six stars.

Very nice, but the masterpiece is Amused to Death, in my opinion.

I am a great admirer of Waters, even as a solo artist, but for me this is one of his weaker works - with the exception of the stunning "Every Strangers' Eyes," which remains one of my absolute favorite tracks of his, but the rest of the album doesn’t excite me personally; I find it too cerebral and not impactful enough. "Amused to Death" is from another planet.

Yes Zimmy, I agree that amused is from another planet and is Ruggerone's real masterpiece. But I have a soft spot for pros and cons, I could listen to it endlessly. Every Stranger's eyes... I couldn't agree more, it’s the song I’d want played at my funeral. It brings tears every time it's listened to.

Of course, the evaluation of amused also applies to perfect element. Amused to Death, by the way, has been and still is, despite its age, a must in terms of its recording and a highly used test disc for high-end listening rooms.

I completely agree about Every Stranger Eyes: it's a beautiful and heartbreaking song. I've always liked this LP, but I don't find it thrilling; however, I'm infected by the passion of the definition given by Stefaudio. I've always preferred not Amused, but Radio Kaos; although you might smile, I find it very beautiful, even wrapped in those trendy sounds. There are appreciable lyrics and other great songs (in order: Home, Tide is Turning, Me or Him)...

Not his best but still a great album.
