Edguy: Hellfire Club
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Naughty, sycophantic, powerful, and melodic. Among the best in the band. There's also an astounding ballad... couldn’t be better!
Emerson, Lake & Palmer: Brain Salad Surgery
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
One of the band's masterpieces. Inserts of rock & roll and free jazz blend with progressive neoclassicism in question. A mind-blowing, majestic, and inspired tapestry of keyboards, for one of the highest quality albums of the entire 1970s prog movement.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer: Trilogy
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
A remarkable leap in quality from the previous Tarkus. Now and then, Lake emerges with some pleasant acoustic arpeggios, but, as expected, it’s once again the keyboards that take center stage.

I've always had a soft spot for this trio; I find Emerson one of the greatest pianists in the prog scene. I sometimes find certain comments about their virtuosity—by many described as 'self-indulgent'—unnecessary; after all, their musical offering is this.

Title track with five stars. Then it drops significantly. Much better is Brain Salad Surgery, for me the absolute masterpiece of '70s prog!

It's an album that overall disappointed me a lot! Even the suite, for crying out loud, what’s the point of those virtuosos?!
Ensiferum: Ensiferum

Years later, their masterpiece still remains. Impressive, it almost feels like hearing Running Wild with a more folk-oriented guitarwork! And there's also an excellent job on the scream vocals!

"It almost feels like hearing Running Wild" oh my goodness! You're not exactly selling them to me well...
Eros Ramazzotti: Perfetto
CD Audio Not intrested ★★
Heard online. So catchy that by the second listen it could already shatter the soul.
Eugenio Finardi: Fibrillante
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Another gem of this year. A work that denounces a system that is too liberal, which has done nothing but suppress the lower classes. Listen to it carefully, giving it a romantic judgment rather than a political one: you will surely appreciate it!
Eugenio Finardi: Roccando Rollando
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Born as the logical continuation of Blitz, this record is the second (and last) that marks Eugenio's collaboration with Crisalide. "15 bambini" "Legalizzatela" "Zerbo" continue to significantly reflect the social/political thoughts of the singer-songwriter. Above all stands out "La canzone dell'acqua," a gentle acoustic reflection on the possibility of a personal existential change.

Despite the title, this seems to me the first work in which Finardi begins to drift away from the rock of his early days; I find it much "smoother" than the previous ones, and also more unsure about the direction to take. This doesn't mean it's not a good album; I find "La canzone dell'acqua" particularly beautiful...
Eugenio Finardi: Dal Blu
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
In a stunning shift from rock to pop, he manages to persuade much of the more hardline audience. A nighttime, refined, intimate album that introduces us to a singer-songwriter still in great form and capable of effectively experimenting with new sounds.

And that couple of beautiful songs performed by Alice will become two brilliantly shining jewels.
