culture does not belong to you, just like it doesn’t belong to others of your generation.. a wreck of values that Strummer-Dylan, if they had been alive, would have slaughtered you. Rightly so. And then Cockburn, you probably don’t even know him.. better that way. Come on, get a grip!

Look, you can't say that Strummer was awful. You can say he was off-key, that you don't like Punk, that what the Clash played wasn't just Punk... you can say a lot of things, but you can't criticize him as a person because he was a symbol of revolution in those years... just watch the videos, I mean to really understand the era. He was a great artist. As for Dylan, I won’t respond because there’s nothing to say, he’s a prophet. The same goes for Cockburn... he's a genius on the guitar, with techniques similar to those of Don Ross, real tough guys who know their stuff when it comes to guitar. And the lyrics are beautiful too. So...

Listen, if I don’t like them, that’s my business; there’s no need to say that I’m ignorant... you don’t know me, so you can make a judgment, but it’s wrong. Generalizing is a sign of ignorance, but just because of that I’m not saying you’re ignorant. Strummer is a great artist, but he’s awful (to me) in that position; then again, everyone does what they want. I don’t adore Dylan, and I obviously know Cockburn, not everything because he’s written a ton, but I can get to the end of the '70s. Who told you I was born in 1990? The nickname? So you’re really a genius... I could thus deduce that you’re 21 years old, right?

And then it was all a joke... Accept the criticism or don't make rankings.

Think about this... I'm ignorant because I don't like her favorite artists that much... this really is a great generation!!!

..in fact, I didn't say it, I spoke about your generation in the sense that I had already seen you commenting in another ranking, trashing Gilmour and Dylan, so I've already figured out what kind of little brain you have, you, the ones who criticize institutions of music, that generation I mean. I can't express judgments because I don't know you, but can you tell me to f*** myself?..I wrote you’re awful for posting the first comment, well your ‘f*** yourself’ is much more offensive, coming from someone who doesn't know me..or am I wrong? So, then listen to the rest of the discography..Listen, for crying out loud..I posted a ranking, writing a little note: the positions are purely random. If you want to talk about music, I accept it, otherwise as they say where I'm from 'sciola!’.

Did you happen to lose the use of your little hands? Anyway, since you're new to deb (I'm new too, but I've gotten used to it), I should let you know that we tease a lot around here, so try not to be too sensitive and know-it-all. I'm saying this for your own good; it's not worth getting angry over this stuff.

Now don’t play the victim... you’re making me laugh though... I didn’t say you have to like them, I just said you can’t make constructive criticisms.

I haven't lost the use of my hands. Anyway, don't worry, I've known Deb for ages.

Alright, since you're new, sorry for the surprise! I don’t criticize any institution of music. Saying that I think Stummer is exaggerated among the top 15 greatest artists of all time means criticizing him?? I think if you make a ranking like that, even the five-hundredth would be a genius! Don’t come to me saying that by generation you mean what you’d like me to think... please, I’m not that stupid.

What criticism should I make??? They are great artists, I think so too!! But do you understand? Too far above my tastes! I haven't made any constructive criticisms because there aren't any to make...

You can believe me or not, I don't care, I just know that there are many of you. There are those who listen to Guns and get so fixated that they say that P.Floyd are jerks, Dylan is slow, but you’ve said worse, trust me. Trust me, there's a backward reinterpretation of rock history that I don't like at all, and I'm quite scared when these empty statements are made, these false accusations that erase years of protests, of songs. I repeat this to you: as long as it's a matter of tastes, it's fine, we are different, we all have different tastes. But when it comes to beauty, objectivity must come into play. Anyway, I'm talking about constructive criticism, which I haven't really seen from you so far, but saying they’re awful without providing arguments seems reductive to me. Anyway, I’m about to lose the use of my little hands because I have to study. Until next time, if there is one...

I lost the use of my little hands but I respond. 1) I don’t fixate on anyone. 2) The Floyd are not fools. 3) Dylan is not slow. 4) I am not a fool. 5) I haven’t accused anyone. 6) I don’t want to erase anything. 7) Zappa protested too, in a way that is much more to my liking. 8) Beauty and objectivity go hand in hand only in Kant. 9) THEY ARE TERRIBLE NOT ABSOLUTELY, BUT IN THAT POSITION, WHICH IF IT IS NOT THE PODIUM, IS STILL AMONG THE TOP 15 ARTISTS OF ALL TIME. 10) Tastes are tastes, but I express my opinion. Until next time!

Frenk, don't take it personally, that's just how it is :D good ranking apart from ELP.

Enough now. Also because you don't understand the meaning of my statements. The ranking is good for me too, but there are certain things I don't agree with. Waits, Zappa, and Hendrix can objectively fit, already Waits a bit less (even though I included him too); the others no (subjectively).

Thank you, Trevor, why not the ELP?.. :(

well... Strummer is rightly in this ranking, I won't say position because it seems to me that they're placed randomly. As for the rest, I have some doubts about that little bastard Bruce Springsteen and Clapton, who after a while just rips your pants off... :D

Jim Kerr between Ella Fitzgerald and Jimmy Page. What an honor for the truly great Jim! I won't express my thoughts on Springsteen, I detest him.

I'm glad you appreciate it!! Anyway, I didn't put them in order, they're scattered... the first ones that came to mind... but objectively, rankings, well... I hate those from magazines like 'the 100 best guitarists...' and then there's really amazing people light years away... well... maybe it's better not to make certain rankings... or not?

Personally, I don't like Strummer as an artist; as for the others, they are all great artists (Zappa and Hendrix above all), including ELP, even though there are significantly superior bands in the progressive genre (in my opinion). Nice ranking.
