Carlos Santana is a Mexican-American guitarist and bandleader who helped pioneer Latin rock by blending rock, blues, salsa, and jazz. He broke through after Woodstock with Santana (1969) and Abraxas (1970), and returned to massive chart success with Supernatural (1999).
