Beautiful, your favorite Scorsese film is "The Age of Innocence," so I'm glad to see it in the rankings; it's a masterpiece, I applaud the choice.

especially the dialogues between those two... but also the collective scenes, with that voice-over explaining things, almost like a treatise on entomology or anthropology... "was she beautiful?" "mostly she was different"...

Between the two of them, between the three of them (plus a few other "supporting" spectacular actors). A film that has everything at the highest levels, both emotional and technical. Screenplay, direction, cinematography, music, sets, costumes, actors, editing, truly a masterpiece that knows how to touch the heart, intense, wonderful. And, just to say, there are 5 Scorsese films that I prefer.

this might be his most unusual... for me the best... then come "King of Comedy," "Raging Bull," "Taxi Driver"... and also "Hugo Cabret"...

No, Hugo Cabret no... A beautiful passionate homage to cinema but infinitely below. Scorsese has always been very versatile though, "The Age of Innocence" is just one example, even if perhaps the most successful.
