Beautiful. If you don't know him, I highly recommend Tim Buckley, who cannot be missing from a ranking of the best of the '60s.

I know, I know, and I also like a couple of his albums, but I need to listen to him more, so I couldn't include him in my ranking yet. Clearly, it's a ranking based on my knowledge; there's always so much new music to discover and delve into.

From how I seem to "understand you," it seems to me that there might be a lack of a McLaughlin Extrapolation and perhaps also the Family...

... and maybe even Jack Bruce with Songs for a Tailor, but ... difficult.

Beautiful, it doesn't miss a beat. I would have added family entertainment, led zeppelin I, and in the court of the crimson king. Oh, and bill evans vanguard village! :-)

I was wondering, is there a specific reason for John Coltrane and Miles Davis under the Who? By the way, isn't it a bit complicated (one risks falling into contradictions) to make a ranking of the best artists with both Rock and Jazz artists?

In the meantime, Coltrane is above The Who, but I was wondering... how about you, is it fine to have below the Stones, the VU, Dylan Dog, or the Beach Boys???

  • denigration of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Janis Joplin......
