And you would be from '97? At your age, I was still listening to the Beatles... Congratulations, well done!

Personally, I don't agree with Ali, just for the fact that at that age I didn't even listen to the Beatles... the ranking is great.

..I don't like it.. at your age I listened to Wagner.. hello..

galloping regression...just kidding. It's always the same old story about tastes, but I feel sorry for your aversion to Genesis.

..come on, mine is a futile provocation..a joke...I simply didn't like Ali76's statement, I find it completely nonsensical..

We are almost the same age; you are one year younger. A few years ago, I was also listening to Le Orme or ELP, then I realized that Krautrock existed and the Genesis went to hell :P Just kidding, good for you.

Yes, I know. I threw it away too. As for Ali's phrase, it depends on who reads it. Not everyone approaches music at the same pace. For some, even at higher levels, it doesn’t mean they will get there in a lifetime... I can understand that because at 14 I hadn’t yet embarked on the extensive musical explorations that I began a bit later.

..there are those who arrive earlier and those who arrive later..the important thing is to get there...damn, what a cliché I just said!!

It may be cliché, but it’s true. In the end, if there's curiosity and a great passion for music, eventually the searches can reach a borderline obsessive level (at least for the artists I want to know everything about), but also for the uncharted territories...

Anyway, I wouldn't dismiss Genesis just because Faust are (actually) better :)

Let's say that, for me, Genesis are among the greatest bands of all time, while Faust (and in particular "Faust") is pure ART. Of course, to be honest, I listen to "Foxtrot" more often than "Faust" :)

I haven't delved into Area very much yet. However, I've already heard some tracks and I must say they are truly remarkable, especially because of Stratos's amazing voice.

Great playlist, congratulations on your taste at 14... I was listening to Francesco Salvi at your age...

I used to listen to Nirvana, but I had already been into Genesis and Jethro Tull for a while. Well, everyone has their own tastes; honestly, I prefer a bit of Shoegaze.

The most important names are all there (or almost, especially for our local prog there are several missing) and that's already something. I don't agree with your ranking, especially placing Yes in third place gives me hives.

In my opinion, Yes albums from The Yes Album to Going For The One (even the underrated Tales From Topographic Oceans, which I consider a masterpiece) are all worth a 5. Drama is also very beautiful. For this reason, in my view, they have fully earned the third place!!! :)

I agree on Tales...an album criticized beyond its true value. "The Revealing Science of God (Dance of the Dawn)" is the one I've listened to the most from the album. That introduction with its atmosphere immediately accompanied by Jon's voice is perfect, just like the entire suite.

Not at all, but there are better things than sitting in front of a computer, even when it comes to DeB. Of course, I trust that this isn't the case for you guys. Honestly, I would love to know if there’s any user who browses the site all day long.

that_PALLAS always puts those genesis first, alright then.. if even a (much more..) straightforward guy like frankO'brien did it, you can't really blame the kids too much..
