As you approach the end of the book, you feel a twinge of sadness... you’ve grown so attached to the characters and the plot that it can’t possibly end now! Over-the-top, excessive, and heavily criticized for selling books by the ton. Essential for lovers of adventure, of Africa in all its aspects, and of the socio-political history of South Africa. There's always sex and blood, perhaps even too much… but I search everywhere for books that give me the emotions his do, and I haven't found any yet.
