Unfortunately, we are at the beginning of the decline here. Some shadow of the giant Dalla still exists, and overall it's not a terrible album, but the inspiration is greatly reduced. The first four albums were pathetic. Then from 1974 (the year of "E tu..") he starts producing interesting stuff, but his golden period will begin with "Strada facendo" (81) and will last until "Io sono qui" (95). A great quartet that will find the peak of its discography in "Oltre" (90). After 1995, essentially useless. more

Great album, perhaps underrated due to the immense commercial success of the '77-'80 trilogy. However, one must not forget that it contains a gem: "Telefonami tra vent'anni." My rating is an average between the 4 it deserves up until 2001 and the single star it has deserved for about fifteen years. "Blue's," "Oro.." and "Spirito DiVino" are three wonderful albums. Nowadays, it’s unbearable. more
In my opinion, it really peaks with "Sotto la pioggia" ('82). Then, starting from "Cuore" ('84), there’s a clear change in sound; we find a more commercial Antonello, less focused on social protest but still possessing great creativity. A similar discussion can be made for "Venditti e segreti" ('86) and "In questo mondo di ladri" ('88): two albums that are quite similar to each other, a bit less inspired than the previous ones but still original and spontaneous. However, it’s better to steer clear of the 90s; the albums are on the verge of terrible. The worst downward spiral of Italian singer-songwriter music (competing with Bennato). What a pity. more
