In my opinion, it really peaks with "Sotto la pioggia" ('82). Then, starting from "Cuore" ('84), there’s a clear change in sound; we find a more commercial Antonello, less focused on social protest but still possessing great creativity. A similar discussion can be made for "Venditti e segreti" ('86) and "In questo mondo di ladri" ('88): two albums that are quite similar to each other, a bit less inspired than the previous ones but still original and spontaneous. However, it’s better to steer clear of the 90s; the albums are on the verge of terrible. The worst downward spiral of Italian singer-songwriter music (competing with Bennato). What a pity.
