Daniele Silvestri
Really good until 1999, unfortunately from the 2000s onward he dug his own grave. more
Zucchero
The Salvini of music: he is overweight, he is an alcoholic, he became famous and important by screwing others over, he is revered and untouchable in Italy, fairly mocked abroad. more
Lucio Dalla -Dalla
One of the albums of my life. Thank you Lucio, Meri Luis one of those songs that work miracles! more
Talvin Singh -OK
Transcendent album, full of atmospheres and poetry. It's truly a work of art with its wind and string instruments. more
Gianni Nicola -'Oh No, It's Prog'
Great album of progressive rock music. Released in January 2020. more
Gianni Nicola
Progressive artist-musician. Rock, of course. more
Tori Amos

Antonello Venditti
So, we need to start from an assumption: the decline in inspiration unfortunately pertains to everyone. Up until Pisces (inclusive), he truly deserves to be on the podium among the top 3 Italian singer-songwriters. Then the following year, he released Buona domenica, a decent album but nothing compared to his previous work, and fortunately, he bounced back with two excellent albums (Sotto la pioggia and Cuore). Between 1986 and 1988, two great albums were released, but unfortunately, in the '90s, he lost his way and became terrible (saving only a couple of tracks from Benvenuti in paradiso). This decline has lasted until today, continually worsening, but it's worth mentioning that he has truly left us so much; his songs from the '70s and for a good part of the '80s will remain forever in the history of Italian music. In conclusion: it’s true that he may not fully deserve 5 full stars, but I’ll give him that to raise the average a bit (2.29 for Antonello is simply unacceptable...). more
Vasco Rossi -Canzoni Per Me
You can sense a different Vasco, the nineties come to an end and his depression begins, yet the album has good acoustic sounds that we don’t find in any of his other albums, maybe something in his early years. The lyrics are weak, but he’s doing like the Americans who focus more on the music. more
Gipsy Kings -Mosaïque
Here more exotic and Arabic-sounding, some pieces of classical guitars but the register shifts towards other tones and experiments. more
Remy Shand -The Way I Feel
Considered his best album, the masterful debut... Too bad it's the only album he made. more
Alesha Dixon -The Alesha Show
Rhythm and a good sound at least in the first part of the album, then a decline that makes it just an average album that adds nothing to the musical landscape. more
Cassandra Wilson -Loverly
Those works where you sing pieces without great pretensions, aiming to showcase vocal skills but not reaching anywhere significant, leaving us with a nice album but nothing more. more
Lucio Battisti -I miti musica: Lucio Battisti
One of the many compilations, I like all of Battisti's musical work and not Mogol's lyrics; for me, there wasn't a duo, there was only Battisti. more
Converge
They performed live on a warm summer evening in 2007, and they blew the roof off. And we were outdoors. more
Gustave Flaubert
Discovered in 2003, it was love at first sight. My favorite writer of the French nineteenth century, but I would say in general. He produced few works, but all of superior quality and all different in genre and writing style. "Memoirs of a Madman," his first work, represents the preamble to Sentimental Education, a project already outlined in 1845 but that would be definitively polished only 24 years later. Every one of his works is a masterpiece: Madame Bovary, Sentimental Education, Salammbô, The Temptation of St. Anthony, Bouvard and Pécuchet, not to mention the Three Tales, which are somewhat the compressed version of the three novels (A Simple Heart → Madame Bovary; The Legend of St. Julian the Hospitaller → The Temptation of St. Anthony; Hérodias → Salammbô). For him, 5 stars for life. more
