Negramaro -Contatto
But I'm a jerk who actually believes in these guys. Abominable album. Salvageable (at least) only are Noi resteremo in piedi and Non è vero niente. The title track is almost salvageable and La terra di nessuno (the latter contains a scat part thrown in the middle of the piece to pay tribute to Dalla... judge for yourselves). The rest is also truckloads of manure to be avoided like the plague. 3 and a half, but not a Debaserian three and a half, more like three and a half out of ten. more

Bluvertigo -Zero
I’m speechless... a twisted masterpiece. I can’t find any track that’s at a lower level than the others; they’re all beautiful and accomplished. It’s musically crystal clear and complex, primarily featuring electronic arrangements (Zero, absolute best track, Sono=sono, Forse, Autofraintendimento, Lo psicopatico). Additionally, there are some stunning highlights: Zero, La comprensione, and Sovrappensiero are magnificent, but it’s the tracks from 11 to 14 that completely turn things around: the Bowie cover gives me goosebumps even though it doesn’t surpass the original, Porno Muzik is an erection-inducing instrumental, and Niente x scontato is an unexpected and successful funk. I’ll just be nitpicky about Numero, but the rest is frame-worthy. more

Indian Summer -Indian Summer
Great record, a wonderful primultimate work by Indian Summer. A disk of beautiful songs and lovely sounds, in the territory of melodic rock with some hints of white rock-soul (especially in Jackson's voice) that flirts abundantly with progressive, without however embarking on a serious and committed relationship, featuring significant instrumental parts and lengthy guitar solos that lean more towards the "jammy" style typical of the rock of the era than to progressive, or take on "jazzy" shades as in the instrumental "From the Film of the Same Name" or in "Another Tree Will Grow." Tracks of contained length (if we want to consider it a prog album, the average is 6 minutes), compact in structure, beautifully solid and engaging, and in style. "Glimpse," "Half-Changed Again," "God is the Dog" (English translation of "Diocane") are all really great tracks, and there’s a slightly dark mood, very beautiful. Another excellent product of the "1970s rock-progressive undergrowth." more
Frankie Hi-NRG MC
Let's say that until 2004 he was almost always at his peak, releasing two excellent albums, Verba manent and Ero un autarchico, and a masterpiece like La morte dei miracoli. Then came the darkness, that rather questionable Rapcital, that Sanremo with the mediocre Rivoluzione and the equally mediocre Deprimomaggio. Well, he slightly recovered with a few last tracks, but just minor stuff. almost 3.5 more
