Clark Ashton Smith

Clark Ashton Smith (1893–1961) was an American author, poet, sculptor, and painter associated with Weird Tales alongside H. P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard. Renowned for lush, baroque prose and cosmic, anti-anthropocentric themes, he created the Zothique, Hyperborea, Averoigne, and Atlantis/Poseidonis cycles, and introduced figures like Tsathoggua and Ubbo-Sathla.
