Steven Wilson
He is a chef who prepares dishes finely decorated with great class, a balance of shapes and colors. Then you put them in your mouth and it’s pasta and beans. more
Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds -Murder Ballads
It was exceptional, both in terms of concept and execution. Then of course, between "Henry Lee" and the wild roses, I will always prefer "Henry Lee," but also because among the Ladies involved - I hope the OTHER won't hold it against me - there's a certain difference... more

New acoustic instrumental folk project by Tim Kerr, simply splendid. more
Jimmy Eat World
The more astute will remember them for Clarity, the rest of the world will remember them for Bleed American. I, however, also remember them for that gem with strong dark hues from Futures. After that, their productions started to decline a bit, but still remained at decent levels. The latest, Damage, seems a bit thrown together, almost like they wanted to clock in and say "we're here too." Their live performances are always excellent, and Adkins is a lord from another time. more

European pride in the Heavy Psych realm [or Stoner, as the media would soon "label" this sound], alongside the Welsh Acrimony and the doomsters Electric Wizard. In the discography of these Dutch musicians, I count at least 2 masterpieces [the EP "Sea of Tranquillity" and the stunning "Liquid"] and two other fantastic albums, the heaviest being the second album "Into The Void..." and the last, ethereal effort "Phase V," before the breakup. Truly great. more

Tomorrow -Tomorrow
A hugely influential cult album of English psychedelia, released in 1968. They have nothing to envy the Beatles; in fact... listen to "Strawberry Fields Forever" in their version. A very young Howe on guitars, before achieving glory with Yes a few years later... more
The Blues Magoos -Psychedelic Lollipop
Good New York band, here’s their 1966 debut, a pleasant garage rock album, not a masterpiece but filled with great songs, like "Tobacco Road." I still prefer the follow-up "Electric Comic Book," which leans more towards psychedelia, from 1967. more
