Nice new avatar of yours, which I actually mistook for a bottle of whisky with the label when it's in the comments and small.

    • A decidedly pleasant appearance! Putting on his glasses, it is the good Raskol'nikov in some cloister in France, as he handles who knows what little book.

Hi Fëdor, I saw the movie... on the bus half asleep. It was among the "on board" options... but I watched it in English (ahem ahem). Also, I think I need to rewatch it with less sleepiness and tiredness. I didn't quite understand the conversations at the party at the house, and I think it's essential to understand the subsequent scenes, is that right? Very sad, especially at the beginning.

    • The film is complex; indeed, that scene provides a rationalization. Regardless of fully understanding the plot, over time it left me with a profound sense of melancholy, striking not so much at the 'head', but at 'that sphere' which is difficult to express with reason. At the beginning, you hear his scratching, which we will only fully grasp later... Sounds that pierce through. A second viewing revealed to me, by rewinding the thread, countless details. And then, the sense of loss, of waiting, of 'never again', of a fate that descends upon us and that we traverse in a loop, of our smallness in a sea of incomprehensibility. I turn over a beautiful page that, regardless of my musings, seems to capture the soul of the film. Best regards! Recensione: "A Ghost Story" | IL BUIO IN SALA

That scratching is very painful. One could go mad not knowing something like this...... I would have done the same, for centuries. I'll take another look at it. Thank you.

At this point, considering the meagerness of your writings and, simultaneously, the nature of the substance they feed on, I proceed, in guilty DeRitardo, to, without further hindrance intervening, deliberately DeAmarti.

Thank you for the honor bestowed upon me, and I immediately reciprocate! Regarding my soporific writings, musings, alas, out of fashion from a liberal out of time.

Time worries when it is minimal.
However, I return your greetings, these, however, from a time-less libertarian, tout court.
Not to mention that, with the certainty that that time has not yet come, I despair that there will be more within the span of what I have left to inhale/exhale.

I was afraid you had mistaken me for Porfirij...

Of course not, it's my learning about the countless De-commands with considerable delay! A great connoisseur of the human soul, Porfirij, but the inquisitors do indeed generate a certain unease in me.
P.S. After the review, Maldoror appeared on my nightstand, waiting for the right moment.
