Zwan was an American alternative rock band formed by Billy Corgan after the Smashing Pumpkins' break; they released the studio album Mary Star of the Sea in 2003 and were active primarily between 2001 and 2003.

Lineup (as referenced in reviews and public sources) included Billy Corgan (vocals, guitar), Jimmy Chamberlin (drums), David Pajo (guitar/bass), Matt Sweeney (guitar) and Paz Lenchantin (bass, backing vocals). The band released one studio album, Mary Star of the Sea (2003), and performed a number of live shows in 2002–2003.

DeBaser hosts a handful of reviews of Zwan, centered on the 2003 studio album Mary Star of the Sea and live shows from the same period. Reviews range from enthusiastic live-appreciation to strongly negative takes on songwriting and lyrical themes. Recurring praise goes to Jimmy Chamberlin's drumming and the band's live energy; criticism focuses on Billy Corgan's dominant presence and lyrical content.

For:Fans of Smashing Pumpkins, listeners of early-2000s alternative rock, concert-goers and collectors of live recordings.
