❝ The best remedy against Hegelianism? The Pixies.
❝ The line between genius and madness is very thin.
❝ WHERE IS MY MIND?
❝ In Keep it together, there are 13 songs, each more beautiful than the last and each simpler than the last.
❝ Despite being categorized under alternative sections, this 'Parachutes' sounds more like a tribal folk-pop festival in a town square, where the undeniable protagonists are congas, acoustic guitars, and pseudo-pop harmonized vocals.
❝ In conclusion, an excellent folk-pop album with catchy melodies, simple and effective, conveying numerous emotions.
❝ Take the Oasis, tell them you love them they'll write you love songs send them roses, poems give them even juice from the heart; always make them feel important, buy all the CDs originals, always be present at the concerts, watch even the DVDs.
❝ there is a sensation of walking on tiptoes while being possessed by waves of vertigo.
❝ Devastating piece. Among the most unforgettable I have ever listened to.
❝ "Like blood, but even deeper and darker".
❝ Unforgettable album.
❝ This little gem, easy to listen to yet very classy, encloses 18 minutes of authentic and emotional music.
❝ Be that as it may, my compliments to the minstrels of Oregon. Rating 4.8
❝ Kyuss, inventors of "Stoner Rock," are the expression of the frustrations and tensions accumulated by the youth in the usual and often-mentioned (by me!) town "Palm Desert", hidden in the southern California desert.
❝ This is not a review, it is a fact: Welcome To Sky Valley is one of the best albums ever released.
❝ Reviewing this album is like trying to give an opinion on an emotion.
❝ Daydream Nation is a masterpiece. Without a doubt.
❝ This is "Confusion Is Sex". An aural assault.
❝ Youth against time!
❝ This is an album that changed my life.
❝ Serj Tankian's voice cannot simply be called the voice of a singer; sometimes screamed, sometimes manic, sometimes sweet, it adds a touch of originality and uniqueness to the already splendid music signed by System Of A Down.
❝ A good album, but not at the levels of "Toxicity" where the band brought out the best of themselves with simply stunning songs.
❝ Nothing is the same as before... this is what I feel about myself once the Dinosaur Jr. concert is over.
❝ Dinosaur Jr. is the creation of J Mascis, a versatile artist and despotic leader, here ("You’re Living All Over Me" is his second album, released by SST in 1987) still accompanied by Lou Barlow, who will soon be ousted for "artistic differences" and will find greater success with his Sebadoh first and Folk Implosion later.
❝ J is a strange guy, at least as much as I am: long white hair, a characteristic belly, and always wearing something purple.
❝ “With APC the process is much more mechanical and computer-oriented but at the same time much more emotional and intuitive.”
❝ “A Perfect Circle is a rock band led by Maynard Keenan from Tool and guitarist Billy Howerdel.”
❝ “The long, very long wait is over, and after fourteen long years, one of the most beloved bands among Maynard James Keenan’s formations has released “Eat The Elephant,” a new studio work.”
❝ Undoubtedly one of the debut albums of the much-missed '90s.
❝ the new work is, in the end, the best thing they have produced since the masterpiece "1977".
❝ A hidden gem, American from top to bottom, to be rediscovered.
❝ Biffy Clyro - CHAUVINISM 1-0
❝ A work so impersonal it became very personal.
❝ The real gem, however, comes at the end: it’s the formidable mini-suite “Cop Syrup,” which starts as hyper-aggressive indie rock and then unfolds into very airy instrumental openings dominated by strings.
❝ "New Miserable Experience" is an album that is born wisely rock, traditional and radio-friendly.
❝ Against all odds, two years after "New Miserable Experience," they poke their noses out with an EP; two more years of efforts and here they are, ready with a new album.
❝ The first album by the Gin Blossoms, like what happened with many bands, especially in the nineties, is a work that initially went completely unnoticed and was re-released later by the major labels.
❝ “There was a time when Hüsker Dü was the fastest band on Planet Earth.”
❝ “Zen Arcade is innovative not only for American hardcore but for punk as a whole.”
❝ “A milestone for all underground rock to come.”
❝ “Ritual De Lo Habitual” is to be counted among the milestones also for this.
❝ THESE GUYS REALLY ROOOOCK!!!!!!
❝ They basically paved the way for Alternative and the last generation of good rock in the nineties, and what do they do?
❝ "These guys are criminals."
"These guys are criminals."
❝ "The fact remains that these three gentlemen have now returned to being the best power trio around."
"The fact remains that these three gentlemen have now returned to being the best power trio around."
❝ "We are the Motorpsycho. Your musical and cultural characteristics will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."
"We are the Motorpsycho. Your musical and cultural characteristics will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."
❝ It’s one hell of an album!
❝ At first listen, it is amazing, engaging, powerful.
❝ There are no words to describe what I believe is and will remain the best album of the year.
❝ “Spirit Of Eden” is a rarefied poetry of the soul....
❝ The Talk Talk are one of the mysteries of the 80s.
❝ A masterpiece built through the dripping and polychrome layering of sound bands, an uncircumscribable radical jazz-rock work, with vocal melodies no longer tangible, yet so intimate and intertwined with the human soul.
❝ "Squeeze" is the apocryphal album of the Velvet Underground.
❝ This album is stunning, chiaroscuro and sadistic like few others.
❝ This double live album, recorded between Dallas and San Francisco, is a confession.
❝ The phrase is: "LE VELINEEEEEEEE".
❝ "The dachshund detective will uncover the truth."
❝ What to say? BELANDIIIIIIII (note that this compares the recipients of the exclamation to those who bleat like lost lambs or unaware sheep).
❝ And, I think it can be said in this case, "they gave me a hard-on"
"they gave me a hard-on"
❝ Perhaps only one adjective is needed to describe these characters… CHAMELEONIC!
Perhaps only one adjective is needed to describe these characters… CHAMELEONIC!
❝ An imposing fire-breathing machine with a noble soul.
An imposing fire-breathing machine with a noble soul.
❝ “Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me!”
❝ “Father Zack, who art in heaven,”
❝ “Zack has always said that RATM is not a band, they are the RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, and the music is secondary.”
❝ RETURN OF THE BASTARDS...
❝ Primus sucks!!
❝ Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to complete madness!
❝ King Of Limbs is the opposite, a record made by Radiohead for Radiohead, experimental well beyond excess. Fake. Pretentious. Artificial. An exercise in style without spirit.
❝ It has everything: power, sweetness, the difficulty of living, irony, social criticism, harmony, love.
❝ Thom Yorke is undoubtedly capable of evoking forgotten sensations and distant memories.
❝ This is the best album ever composed by a band of semi-deities, and anyone who denies it doesn’t understand a damn thing about True Music!
❝ Tool is a group that undeniably has managed to create a style distinctly different from any other.
❝ The album starts immediately rough, hard, and uncensored: "Stinkfist" is a perhaps ambiguous metaphor in which the "sweet" experience of fist-fucking symbolizes the desensitization of the spirit and the constant pushing of boundaries to continue feeling emotions.
❝ Shirley Manson, beautiful and charismatic leader of Garbage, is approaching fifty.
❝ Their success is mainly due to the skill of the members, established producers (...) who arrive at a sound balancing between dance, trip hop, and the noise rock of My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth.
❝ Garbage is a rock/alternative music group created in 1994 by Butch Vig (producer, drummer), Steve Marker (guitarist), Duke Erikson (bassist, synth, keyboardist), and of course the charismatic Shirley Manson (singer, author, composer, guitarist, backing vocals).
❝ The praise of the absurd, the triumph of nonsense, twenty-five years after “Trout Mask Replica” the miracle repeats itself.
❝ The best crossover album in history, no bullshit, the rest is just imitation, this is original.
❝ Giving 5 stars to this work is an understatement.
❝ After this maxi single dated 1979, Bauhaus would release four respectable albums before their premature breakup in 1983, never again matching the creative peak reached with their debut track.
❝ Never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
❝ The Shadow is Cast
❝ Nothing. I hope I have left you with enough curiosity to abandon the attempt of understanding "Crash" through the eye: here the only way is the ear!
❝ The DMB consists of sacred monsters in perfect harmony. Carter is an octopus, and his drums seem like extensions of his fast, powerful, elegant limbs.
❝ Listening to the albums of the Dave Matthews Band, I've learned to "musikimmaginarmeli" with the ear of someone who wants to hear them live, because it's live that the band of the Johannesburg native performs at 200%.
❝ This "Begin To Hope" is, in short, an excellent work, engaged and uncommitted just enough, aimed at those who miss the eccentricity of the pre-motherhood Tori Amos and those who are tired of having only Fiona Apple as the sole heroine of female singer-songwriters.
❝ And then there's this fresh voice, full-bodied, sullen yet playful, fluttering, at times terribly confidential as if it seemed to address You directly.
❝ The show, even amidst your tears, your heart-wrenching cries, will go on, until that girl lifts her hands from her instrument.
❝ Every single track exudes a desire for rebellion, anger, and above all, every single track sounds genuine and sincere.
❝ Actually, folks, you know something: since you won’t leave, I’ll excuse myself: Amen, Gun Of a Preacher Man. People who knew how and when to get the hell out.
❝ In conclusion, “Odelay” is a fundamental album for rock music in the ’90s and, in general, a model to follow when it comes to the ability to reinvent musical genres, blending them together in a unique and unrepeatable way.
❝ A melancholic cloud hangs over Sea Change.
❝ If one thing is certain, it's that the blond sprite from LA is not in a creativity crisis.
❝ this is the first review we're doing on what, in my opinion, is the best Korn album, the angriest one.
❝ "There is a place in my mind that I love to hide"
❝ Having Korn perform an Unplugged concert is like putting Nutella on a nice plate of macaroni: it doesn't make any damn sense!
❝ A great album that must be part of your collection.
❝ Highly recommended album to everyone. Yes, everyone...
❝ Bravo Lali Puna, and if you ever get the chance to see them live, don't let it slip by!
❝ The firstborn is dead... let the sky break, spew out its tears and dress in mourning this red earth.
❝ I don't believe in an interventionist God but if I did I would ask Him to watch over you
❝ Nick Cave was probably (surely) the greatest rock star of the last thirty years.
❝ For a group of 40-year-olds like us, Nirvana is like milk for newborns: obligatory and essential.
❝ Audience: "MTV SUUUUCKS!"
❝ The lights of Galaxie 500 dazzle and dishearten, protect and sublimate. Codeine and Low will continue the work.
❝ The predominant mood is one of melancholy and intimacy, tracks with weak shades and unclear contours, with a repetitiveness and slowness with a typically psychedelic flavor.
❝ Their songs represent the philosophy of loss and regret, and perfectly describe the arc of their musical lives: swelling only toward the end, when the song is about to end, when someone has already hit the fast forward button on the tape player.
❝ “This is one of those records you absolutely must have, it’s the album of Incubus’ maturation, if you love them and don’t have it, get it, those who don’t know them should start with this one”
❝ “Morning View marked the beginning of the end of my short but intense friendship with Incubus.”
❝ “I do not recommend this album to those who loved Incubus in the past, simply because this album isn’t by Incubus, it’s by another band that has completely changed its style.”
❝ "…to the ones who had the displeasure of sleeping with me"
❝ “If Oscar Wilde had ever founded a rock band, it would probably be very similar to Roxy Music.”
❝ “For Your Pleasure is an alchemical work where the High meets the Low and lead transforms into gold.”
❝ “Among the best live performances of the era. A must-have!”
❝ "Pod", or how the Pixies should have sounded according to Kim Deal.
❝ Who, after loving them, does not miss them now?
❝ "All Nerve" keeps you on edge, captivates you, leaves a mark.
❝ “Play” was the album that, at the end of the nineties, gave electronic music the dignity it deserved as a musical genre, finally eliminating the concept of “computer-made stuff”.
❝ The first aspect to consider when reviewing “Play” is that, in a moment made difficult for the recording industry by the easy transfer of “data”, this work sold 23 million copies, 20 of which were albums and 3 were singles extracted from it.
❝ At 53, Richard Melville Hall gives us his best album in years, imbued with inspiration and immense class, crowning a journey that is increasingly consistent and never tamed.
❝ Call it whatever you want. For me, the right name is: Maturity...
❝ He looks like Jesus Christ, for crying out loud.
❝ After 1992, they will never be so mean, sinister, wild, heavy again: a true and apocalyptic sonic orgasm.
❝ It is not essential to express a definitive judgment on this work; the five stars, as well as the review, are just a necessary act.
❝ Within me live my identical life of microorganisms that do not know they belong to my body... To which body do I belong?
❝ ...and my teacher taught me how difficult it is to find the dawn within the dusk...
❝ “Better keep on goingIt’s the only thing I knowOh Lord, it won’t changeIt won’t changeIt won’t changeIt won’t change...”
❝ The subsequent “Buzz Factory”, released in 1989 on Greg Ginn’s label before their inevitable major-label arrival, is perhaps the quartet’s most mature work, perfectly realizing the grunge syncretism.
❝ An album that, with all its objective quality, its historical value, and its simple beauty, you end up loving.
❝ The news that hasn’t yet reached the Olympus where I hope never to enter is that the Beatles knew how to play, and how.
❝ In short, the general impression here is that you are not just watching a documentary about the Beatles: you are actually reliving those years with them.
❝ Who would have ever thought that the Legend, perhaps the greatest in the History of Music, would have begun with a very simple, very banal, very inexpensive: ONE, TWO, THREE, FAH!
❝ Talking about rape and cutting bodies up, it just doesn't interest me anymore... What interests me is making weird hippie music for people to get high to.
❝ In my opinion, this work represents not only the artistic peak of Tyler The Creator's career but also a possible contemporary classic of today's black music.
❝ Speaking of singing, it's impossible not to mention the unexpected collaboration with rapper Playboi Carti in EARFQUAKE, a quirky love song in which Tyler's falsetto is paired with Carti's childlike voice; on paper, it seems like announced disaster, yet, it's incredibly catchy and singable, undoubtedly one of the best songs of 2019.
❝ Dadaist art, no-sense, hardcore, all blended together to generate one of the most vitamin-packed, innovative, and pure cocktails of the time. Go get them!!
❝ Butthole Surfers have coined a new language that will soon become highly imitated, but most importantly, they have performed the noble act of elevating burps and farts to an art form.
❝ Among the most important and underrated bands in the history of rock, the Texan Butthole Surfers must be mentioned first.
❝ Frightening album, dirty, sick, which certainly won't be liked by everyone and which, especially in the second part, projects the mind into a parallel world.
❝ If you don't like Pretty Hate Machine, you probably just need to turn up the volume.
❝ "This is the first of my last days"
❝ It’s pointless now if you come to tell me "yes, but Siamese Dream was something else" because yes, even Manowar knows that Siamese Dream was something else.
It’s pointless now if you come to tell me "yes, but Siamese Dream was something else" because yes, even Manowar knows that Siamese Dream was something else.
❝ Okay, "Mellon Collie..." is the album everyone considers the undisputed manifesto of the Smashing Pumpkins, but I much prefer this "Adore", to the point that I consider it the true masterpiece of the group.

❝ This album is something beyond music, something precious that Billy wanted to gift to the world.
This album is something beyond music, something precious that Billy wanted to gift to the world.
❝ Without any shadow of a doubt, one of the masterpieces of the American new wave and the entire history of rock, certainly to be counted among the most important and influential albums of all time.
❝ Main protagonists alongside the Patti Smith Group, Talking Heads, and the Ramones of the American new wave of the mid-'70s, Television was part of that great New York rock season centered around CBGB’s, which saw an explosion of talent like never seen before.
❝ Built on brazen rhythms, clear melodies, obsessive guitar arpeggios, and subtle vocals, the songs of Marquee Moon possess such uncontrolled charm expressed in this phrase: few resources but many ideas.
❝ "After 10 years of inactivity, Uncle Jerry, the diabolical mind behind Alice in Chains, after the loss of one of the greatest singers of the '70s, a frontman of immense charisma such as Layne Staley, calls back the incredibly talented drummer Sean Kinney and bassist Mike Inez and recruits a new singer, one William DuVall, already with the Comes With The Fall, and decides to release a new album under the name Alice in Chains (bad taste or a brilliant idea?)."

❝ BAND OF HORSES AT A GENTLE TROT.
❝ Shot straight to the top of my personal chart of the "Best Albums of 2006", this "Everything All The Time", the debut album by "Band Of Horses", is simply an excellent album, where the verb of American guitar-driven indie rock is conjugated according to the best standards, destined to remain in your CD player for a long time.
❝ Infinite Arms caught my fancy at the first listen.
❝ The significant influence exerted by Killing Joke on metal, industrial, and noise groups is unparalleled in the history of British music.
❝ Night Time, written and realized in 1984, was released the following year and probably represents their most famous creation, especially by virtue of the single Love Like Blood which became a sort of anthem of British dark rock.
❝ Without them, bands like Nine Inch Nails or Ministry would never have existed, and that must be acknowledged.
❝ I will have no other Floyds besides Syd!
❝ Goodbye Cruel World (of Business).
❝ The Dark Side Of The Moon is not only the compositional and musical climax of the post-Barrett group's experience
❝ "The nine prophets enter in the dark and immediately it is madness."
❝ "IF YOU'RE THE 555 THEN I'M 666!!!"
❝ "All Hope Is Gone" is an album that's already been released, specifically for a while now.
❝ He and his band succeeded in proposing a new way of making metal.
❝ DAMN, THESE GUYS ROCK
❝ "Say something for the record, tell the people what you feel! FUCK THE RECORD, AND FUCK THE PEOPLE!!!!"
❝ And in the end it happened, it was to be expected, and it's beautiful and right like this…
And in the end it happened, it was to be expected, and it's beautiful and right like this…
❝ Dark, distressing, grotesque, violent, unsettling but also ironic, hypnotic, and irreverent: this and much more are "Ask Questions Later" and Cop Shoot Cop, a band that managed to renew atmospheric industrial music, but that remained unknown to most for far too long.
❝ Change what you cannot accept / do not accept what you cannot change
❝ This ain't no place for ideals, this is no time for change.
❝ “Try to be born a farmer's son, in the agrarian Emilia, in the agrarian 1800s. And then try to write “Traviata” if you can.”
❝ “It must be done.”
❝ “My “first time” with Macbeth will remain with me forever, indelible and unforgettable.”
❝ “Not the product of black culture, not the product of white culture.”
❝ If she didn't exist, she would need to be invented, as my grandmother would say;
❝ Arular is a kaleidoscope of alternative-electro-rap, which as soon as it is inserted into the player rapes the brain.
❝ Qotsa: probably the best fucking rock band on the planet!
❝ An album that combines sophistication with a lack of pretentiousness, it's enjoyable without tiring, flowing rapidly: a small hallucinogenic masterpiece!
❝ This is the key to understanding (or rather listening to) the latest and newest masterpiece by the band of Josh Homme, the soul and mind of the stoner scene worldwide for over 10 years now.
❝ After forty years, evolving is not taken for granted, and often it is done in the opposite direction. But not here, not this time.
❝ My band and I never talk about this album, and we don’t even play it at concerts.
❝ No doubt, this album is an absolute must-have.
❝ Mark Linkous, voice and guitar: “I see songs as little planets, they don't have to be in alignment, if they orbit they become boring”.
❝ “Sometimes days go by fast, sometimes this seems to have to be the last. It's a sad and beautiful world. It's a sad and beautiful world...”
❝ “You are worth thousands of sparrows..”
❝ “Temple of Love”, their ultimate hit, as well as one of the most powerful and compelling tracks that, in my humble opinion, has ever been written in pop music.
❝ “First & Last & Always,” is also the truest and most essential, a quick journey into darkness.
❝ What can I say in conclusion, except that it would be a crime not to listen to this “Floodland” which constitutes, in my opinion, the highest point of the band's discography and, perhaps, of all dark rock.
❝ Joseph Arthur is a singer-songwriter from Ohio, who has made New York his second home and was discovered by Peter Gabriel (who, along with Brian Eno, appears on some tracks of his debut album "Big City Secrets").
❝ "Someone who struggles to heal from an identity crisis by playing experimental folk-rock."
❝ "Even after we are dead our shadows will remain"
❝ When the alien DavidBowie, restless astronaut of the deepest spaces of the human soul, encounters the musical architect of perfect cosmic spaces BrianEno, an extraordinary album emerges.
❝ HE'S OUTRAGEOUS, HE SCREAMS AND HE BAWLS
❝ We know, David Bowie is not a man of this planet, not in a strict sense, at least.
❝ During the performance of "Sky is Over", the impression that Serj's voice absolutely commands the situation is confirmed, and the choice of symphonic-lyrical arrangements is no accident.
❝ this is not a Nu Metal album, it is not a musically aggressive album, it seems not to be a Serj Tankian album, it seems.
❝ We are herds that hurt each other with lies.
❝ Minimalist, dark, hypnotic, dense, on the sharp edge between "music" and "noise": this mini-album originally released on vinyl, then reissued on CD (with two bonus tracks) marks the debut of this interesting and promising band from Portsmouth: the Cranes.
❝ here Alison's voice has something different: she doesn't sing, she cries.
❝ A return as beautiful as it was unexpected in 2008.
❝ Norah's crystal-clear talent is audible in every track of an album that reaches its peak in songs like "Don't Know Why" (written for her by Jesse Harris), "Lonestar" (written by Lee Alexander), the alluring "Nightingale," and especially "Come Away with me," perhaps, to date, the most beautiful track she has ever written herself.
❝ the album is what it is… relaxed, standard pop-jazz with nothing weird or risky… you put it on and it runs as smooth as a baba!
❝ A project that showcases the artistic maturity of the singer-songwriter and consecrates her voice, “magical” for many, boring for some.
❝ The rapper David Cohn, a.k.a. Serengeti, was born and raised in Chicago.
❝ “Treasure” is recognized as one of the fundamental albums of the New Wave.
❝ “Treasure” is a timeless album in essence, to be discovered with each listen.
❝ For Treasure, 4AD called on the famous Brian Eno for production, who had dealt with a similarly expansive and layered approach to the genre.
❝ This record is the freshest thing I've heard in these times that have been very stingy with beautiful things to listen to: it practically blends African rhythms with indie sounds (with an art-pop aftertaste), creating an extremely enjoyable, and here's the beauty, airy, danceable, light, intense work.
❝ Really, even with all the cynicism and acidity in this world, it cannot be denied that they performed a handful of simple but fun songs, naturally derivative (two names come to mind: Police and Jonathan Richman) but with a personal touch, which is all you can ask of today's rock-pop-punk-etc (I correct myself: of all time).
❝ Here of the old VW remains only the trace in 3 songs: the whimsical "Ya hey", the irreverent "Finger back", and the ungainly downtempo ballad "Step".
❝ "The Love Substitutes are a band for music store browsers. Like the people that go to record stores to endlessly browse in the collection, and end up buying a CD they already have, just because it is such a great CD to buy."
❝ The Love Substitutes, live, improvise a crazy, dissonant and composed rock, instinctive and clear, brilliant and poetic, schizophrenic and dense, distorted and sweet.
❝ It’s hard to talk about "songs" or pigeonhole the Love Substitutes into a particular style: here are simply musicians who have decided to give their (crazy) creativity free rein.
❝ There are few albums I have heard that, like this one, have the intensity and the effect of the despairing abandonment with which one takes the last alcoholic sip before collapsing prey to the ghosts of the mind.
❝ "Unknown Pleasures" scares me.
❝ It all begins with a faint screech, an undertone, which broadens and strengthens until the drums enter with force, and that screeching sound becomes a note, taking the form of a guitar.
❝ Entities unclassifiable are the Liars.
❝ They titled their latest album "Drum's Not Dead" and damn it if that drum is alive and kicking.
❝ One of the best releases of 2004: the Liars, a New York trio led by Angus Andrew, leave behind what they had achieved in their first release and in the split with Oneida to amaze us, with a capital A.
❝ Perhaps the strong point of this album is something that is not present in almost any album in music history: a completely invented language.
❝ In the year 2003, when the old guard of dark wave was virtually extinct and the new forces of the genre were consolidating in an increasingly superficial landscape with less and less substance, the Dutch Clan of Xymox produced their most electronic album to date, reaffirming a leadership that not everyone took for granted.
❝ Twist of Shadows is, in fact, a good album, even though heavily influenced by the 80s synth-pop that was prevalent in those years, but fortunately free of those plasticky sonic excesses so fashionable at the time.
❝ A strange jewel from the plastic years, this album is highly recommended for those who still today are convinced that it wasn’t enough to have teased hair and foundation to make good music in the eighties (aesthetic nuances which the Xymox themselves flaunted, mind you...).
❝ In case it wasn't clear, "Sparks" is therefore an album to listen to in its entirety, from the first to the last track, without skipping any,
❝ The peak of the album, however, is undoubtedly "Canvas", a true masterpiece without half measures, which, on an initial classical guitar riff, adding choirs, a light percussive ticking, a few electronic interludes, a couple of strings and some intelligently brushed keys on the piano, builds a truly unforgettable atmosphere of mystery and relaxation.
❝ Listen, first of all. Love, after all.
❝ Holy truth, especially in America. Page's explosion seals a masterpiece of Post-hardcore/Noise, of incalculable influence.
❝ An seminal album to listen to on continuous loop, at least until the firefighters arrive, called by the usual cranky neighbor.
❝ This is my album of 2021; there are no rivals, no comparisons.
❝ “"Hong Kong Garden" is the most perfect example of pop punk of all times...”
❝ “When you're a young, dreamy kid, it's easy to get disappointed.”
❝ “Just a year after the sinisterly tinged punk of "The Scream", Siouxsie and the Banshees released this "Join Hands," one of the most controversial works of their career.”
❝ This new, latest disc by Ulan Bator is beautiful.
❝ Ulan Bator, to be fair, have never missed the mark, not a single album that was a failed experiment, not a single album below average, and two phases must be distinguished:
❝ Tracks like "Soeur Violence" or "Pensées Massacres" cut through the air like sharp blades, not to mention European indie landmarks like "Santa Lucia", whose expanded final drift was a real suspension in limbo.
❝ In Jeunet's film, there are three protagonists: the talented and, allow me to say, adorable Audrey Tautou, Paris, and the music of Yann Tiersen.
❝ Bring some warm clothes if you plan on coming; it’s already autumn here.
❝ Out of time, a perpetual last day of summer.
❝ The impossibility of finding oneself again.
❝ Sigur Rós don’t play Post-Rock, they play the way Sigur Rós play, which is like no one else plays.
❝ The feeling is that of being part of an important moment in the History of Music:
❝ Visionary, surreal, incredibly powerful.
❝ The mole (el topo) is an animal that digs underground and when it reaches the surface and sees the sun, it becomes blind.
❝ The film is surreal, metaphysical, insane, visionary, decidedly weird.
❝ “We are the best band in the world. There's no competition.” (Andy Rourke)
❝ “So for once in my life let me have what I want, Lord knows it would be the first time”
❝ Driving in your car, I never want to go home, because I haven't got one... anymore.
❝ The year was 1998 when Madonna released her work, in my opinion, her most successful, "Ray Of Light".
❝ Attention! The album in question is a BOMB!
❝ D E A D L Y !!!
❝ Fear is the mind-killer.
❝ “...and it was so yellow…What the f*** are you talking about, Chris Martin? Is this supposed to be the best British band? It's enough to make you want to slit your wrists.”
❝ Back to Black consists of 11 tracks of simple pop that harks back to the fifties' sounds, especially the artist Billie Holiday concerning voice and some musical solutions.
❝ The songs are all predictable, devoid of any originality, heard at least a thousand times coming out of Arnold's jukebox: what is called a cliché.
❝ Fans of the Smashing Pumpkins will like it.
