I believe
I believe
I believe
I believe the love you talk about with me
is it true, do I care
honestly, you can try to wipe the memories aside
but it's you that you erase
Wiping away my tears, I proceed with the review that hits those like me who have not yet forgotten "Siamese Dream" by the Smashing Pumpkins. This "new" band retains their two best pieces: the mind, Billy Corgan (vocals and guitar), and the arm, Jimi Chamberlin on drums. The group also includes David Pajo (guitar/bass, ex-Slint, Papa M), Matt Sweeney (guitar, ex-Chavez), and Paz Lenchantin on bass.
The album opens with "Lyric," a quick march, and continues with "Settle Down," with a twisted and syncopated rhythm, wrapped in distorted guitars.
"Honestly," the first single and track no. 4, expresses all the sounds that have always been in Corgan's head. Fans of the Smashing Pumpkins will like it.
The album flows quickly and delicately, listening to it, you find a lot of what Corgan left us with. Those expecting "something new" will be disappointed. However, those who never forgot the SP and still couldn't understand their breakup will find comfort in this excellent production.
The sound, in its raw presentation, is a masterfully assembled sonic machine, paced by a drum that, with its offbeat style, "always keeps everything together."
I also recommend "Heartsong" and "Yeah!," a liberating scream.
We conclude with the poetry of the over-thirty Corgan: "stay the night stay all your life just come with me come with me won't you come with me come with me again come with me won't you come with me come with me again"
"Corgan is absssssolutely annoying and all the extras are almost inaudible..."
"These damn Christians need to stop polluting people! First Bob Dylan, now Billy Corgan!"
