With the debut "Bleach," the band led by Cobain shows they have a good shot. They didn't invent anything, let's be clear, yet they managed to blend Scratch Acid and Melvins with a certain and unusual lightness. "Nevermind," that is, the unexpected success! Between pop melodies and all-out assaults. A bit of disappointment and some doubts about the blonde. But the blonde never cared about "consistency." Apart from the usual overplayed hits, now unbearable, the raucous punk of "territorial pissing" and "stay away" stands out. It's '93 and "In Utero" sees the light. Some consider it a masterpiece, others a piece of junk. Personally, I've never been thrilled by it. I find it poorly assembled and consider some "hits" to be unsustainable at this point.
