Buddy Guy's Legends

A guy I’ve known at work for a little while...so far away from me went to Chicago. I told him to experience the city’s blues a bit. He told me he doesn’t like blues or rather that he doesn’t know it well (what a pain I can’t stand...damn it).

This morning I received a message

ā€œHey Big, I was at the place of some (??!???) Buddy Guy the ā€œBUDDY GUY LEGENDā€ last night. He was there talking, serving, presenting, and singing. They let local bands perform live for about an hour each.
The atmosphere is a bit like those places in The Blues Brothers.
Not very clean, inedible food but FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE and AMAZING MUSIC.

I didn’t imagine that Blues was such an intense, powerful, and engaging music at a thousand. I couldn’t stand still. Forgive my ignorance, Count.
We should go back tonight, I’m sure we will.
See you soon.

These are the few but super satisfying moments...

The dark slow core spirituality of the past visits an Ethno-Psychedelic bazaar. Donning the robe of the mystic sage, it smells of spices and incense while keeping its deep identity under the surface in its narratives that brush against universes where Third Ear Band meets the 90s in the manifesto of transformation "God Is Love." Different, perhaps an intriguing parenthesis, perhaps the workshop of future solutions to the desire for change to avoid falling into the "Limbo of the beautiful but always the same."
