Scott Walker ― Cossacks Are
Mind-blowing and hypnotic like few others. And to think that this man has majestically ridden through 50 years of career, transitioning from chansonnier to avant-garde music, to doom/drone with Sunn O)))

Guitar Lesson: Jorma Kaukonen Teaches You How to Play Jefferson Airplane's ‘Embryonic Journey’
How many times have we listened to it on Surrealistic Pillow?
Hundreds of times, maybe thousands, but the magic renews itself with every listen, and in this recent video by Kaukonen, I relived the astonishment I felt the first time. Try it to believe it.

William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Original Version)

Just to clear the air a bit from what spread between Tuesday and Saturday night

When, in '95, the album "Pieces In A Modern Style" was released, William Orbit was hailed as the driving force behind a "new" appreciation for classical music. His synthesisers rendition of Samuel Barber's "Adagio For Strings," which was very logical and convincing, even drew parallels to the sacred works of electronic transposition of classics once done by the great Wendy Carlos. Nothing could be further from the truth: Orbit had simply unleashed his old passion for classical music (the album featured Vivaldi but also Cage...) and quickly returned to his work as an established trendy producer of consumer pop with electro undertones.... He even blasphemed over his stunning work featured on this memorable album, remixing alongside other accomplices in a techno style this track and Ravel's "Pavane pour une infante defunte" included in this record.
